Michigan gets our DLine coach and we get Ohio St's, and Ohio St. Gets......and on and on. Like I said, crazy.
Yeah it was on ACCNX, which isn’t on my normal cable menu. ACC Network is, I am on Directv. I have a Roku device that I use with my ESPN app to see those games. Very entertaining game.
Irish men barely get by Howard. I didn't see the game but online reports by fans were all pretty negative.
BC will be at Compton on Wednesday for the final non-conference Hockey Match up. Irish are ranked and BC is not, they are in a 3 way tie for 4th in Hockey East. Of course Niagara wasn't ranked either and instead of rolling over they split the series with the Irish.
Well, he'll be the smartest punter on the field this year. But just just to hedge your bet, bring your leg too.
I'm not nearly as aware of the inner workings of the football team as are some of you here via the pay sites and subscription publications. I just read this commentary on the SI web site, written by Bryan Driskell, which I find interesting. Midweek Musings: Receiver Help Is Already On Campus, Notre Dame DL Breakout Player - Sports Illustrated Notre Dame Fighting Irish News, Analysis and More
Irish women let one get away tonight at BC. Had a big lead in the 3rd qtr, 14 points and let it get away. BC was lights out from 3 pt land. Still had a chance at the end but 2 in bounds plays to win at the end came up empty.
Sid, Not sure how old the post you a referring to is or what it means but We do have a new WR coach now. Who he is referring to as a DL breakout is a mystery to me. I have a subscription to Driskell's BB so I see what I can find.
To say there is a difference between Brian Kelly's recruiting style and Marcus Freeman would be a huge understatement. Freeman is out on the trail himself seeing and talking to all the prospects. He's not waiting to see recruits after his staff has seen them, he's there himself. Kelly never did things this way. Also, they are going after the 5* and high 4* first and making offers instead of just focusing on 4* who are sure to qualify and are highly motivated to take and ND offer seriously. He showing these kids why they DO need to take a serious look and consider ND. Will it work? Not sure but we are seeing some positive results already. I don't know how good a coach Freeman will turn out to be but we can see he is definitely trying to insure he does well but getting as much talent as he can in South Bend as possible.
Tim, the article is dated Jan. 19, 2022, and was posted this past Wednesday. The player he cites as a possible breakout defensive line player, and explains why, is Jacob Lacy.
Sid, Found this on a pay site ref DC: "here are four guys I believe he is focused on right now, and I’m going to start doing some features on each of them. They would be: Doug Belk (Houston), Tem Lukabu (Boston College), Joe Rossi (Minnesota) and Al Golden (Cincinnati Bengals)."
Big, big road win for the Irish men at Louisville. 82-70. It was a close game most of the 1st half, Irish shot the lights out but 8 turnovers gave Louisville more shots as a result we were down 7 at half. But we stopped turning the ball over, Louisville cooled off shooting and we continued to shoot it very well and got on a big run, 17-2, got a big lead of 14 points and the Cards never got back in the game. Freshman Blake Wesley continues to have a great season, lead the Irish with 22 points.
Today's win at Louisville, where they inducted Russ Smith into the Louisville HOF, retired his jersey. Well deserving, he was a great player. This is the 5 OT game at South Bend his Jr year, took the last Louisville shot, one of the all time great ND games.
