re: Kemp, Hunter Yea baby! That bandwagon is filling up! re: Cheapo Wal-Mart poncho I have one in the truck right now. People like Brian and I prefer to call ourselves "frugal."
nah, it wasn't Michigan State if I was there. There was the Oklahoma game. We also attended an ND Stanford game in which we had a skybox tailgate. There was Texas A&M as well. I'm trying to remember the others. I attended the Michigan game and sat next to Doc. That was one of the most pleasurable football game experiences. Doc is a great game companion. I've been to others (USC, Florida State, LSU) but those others were skybox tailgates. Unrelated note, we need to get Carson to an ND game.. we should look into Oklahoma tickets. He's never seen the Irish lose home or away and he's attended several games dating back to when he was a baby.
ND <t>maybe it was the Tex A&M game of 2000. I was there for that one and I remember Mike had the preferred parking spot. 2000!, man times flys.</t>
Maybe we should take up a collection among the Skybox ND fans to get Carson and Dad to the Oklahoma game. We need all the help we can get.
It was definitely a cloudy day with some rain, I remember because both Sid and I had to go to Poncho's during the game, nothing like Saturday though. I know it wasn't the Texas A&M game because it didn't rain for that game and my nephew was there so I wouldn't have sat with Sid.
I watched that hour long lead in to the game, it was very good and well done. Campus shots and stadium shots were just awesome. It's a keeper.
I recall a game against UCLA that I drove down to just to see the group. I ended up driving back and catching the last few minutes when we scored that late miracle TD. I recall 2 very hot games, A&M and Michigan. Rain would have been welcome.
Yeah 98 Michigan I sat next to Corey and hoped he knew CPR if I went down. I know it wasn't A&M in 2000 as I said I had the family there and would have sat with them. I do remember a game where I came by myself to go with the Skybox crew, just don't remember which one.
ND <t>O.K. so we're all getting old and our recall skills are shot to hell. I just love this getting old stuff.</t>
This should close the book on the last play of the game: http://collegefootball.ap.org/content/head-official-review-correct-confirm-nd-stand
Good link Sid. From that article it's clear that the refs ruled that forward progress was stopped and the issue of the elbow and whether he fumbled is not part of the equation. I would assume that the replay official confirmed that the runner hadn't crossed the goal line before forward progress was ruled stopped. This means that all those talking heads who were looking at what happened after the play was dead were all blowing bilge.
