Pete Sampson calls for Kelly to revamp the offense.

I think it's time for a new O line coach. Our offense is straight out of the Big 12. The OC is gone too. We've sent a number of OL to the pros and recruiting that position can't be that daunting a task. There's no reason why we can't run the football consistently.

Mike I think the concern is that Kelly's history is that he likes to hire his guys. Don't be shocked if either Quinn or Tom Rees end up with the OCoord job if Long leaves or is fired.

Doc, I realize that. If Caesar had more of his guys in the Senate he probably would have gone home that day. The problem is, until Kelly feels his job is on the line, assistants are for buddies not for saving his ass.

By the way the "u" lost to Duke after losing to FIU after losing to Louisville? It's all about the "u".

    Irish Math:

10 ( wins ) - 2 (losses to the two best team on your schedule) = a Dec. 28 game in the Camping World Bowl in Orlando against a Big 12 team.

That is considered our likely destination in a no-win situation.

Two year ago we had the best OL in college football. I think our main issue is the playbook. We are too easy to defend at the top tier.

Isn't our OL coach different than it was 2 years ago?

Remember guys like 'McFlinchy?' He sure doesn't seem to have that same problem in the NFL. How are our linemen getting better in the NFL?

I'm not exactly sure but McFlinchy's coach ended up in the NFL with the Bears.

Pete Sampson in his article on Ian Book say's....IF Book returns for 2020.... I can't imagine that Book would even be drafted should he choose to leave for the NFL, and I don't think coming back in 2020 improves that chance either. He's a good College QB, not a great one. He doesn't possess the physical skills, ie strong arm, that make the NFL scouts take notice. He's an undrafted FA. I will be shocked if he were to Grad Transfer some place. He's going to be the starter in 2020 if he returns, I guess it's possible that Phil Jurkovec beats him out in the Spring, but not likely. So I'm curious what Sampson knows to use the "IF" Book returns.

BTW if you put the right stats together you can come up with a ranking that has Book in a class with Jalen Hurts and Justin Fields.

    OT but....I hope all
Irish fans are paying attention to our 2021 QB commit Tyler Buchner cause he is the REAL DEAL! He just keeps busting all kinds of record. He just had 8, yes 8 TDS in a game!!!! This is a once in 20 yr type player that may end up being the best QB ND has had in a long, long time and the best I’ll probably see before I leave this world(I’m getting old). If you
Haven’t seen some of his video you need to check it out. God, I wish he was a SR.

I agree with Tim. I'm not a big fan of Jurkovec. I'm not at all convinced that he could win the job over Tyler Buchner, who is a very special player...
