It's amazing what happens when you don't jump to assume the worst when a story first comes out. As the story develops it may turn out a lot less evil than first thought. What a concept 8)

The last time (and every time) we have a scandal and it turns out to be not as bad as we originally thought, we wind up getting hammered anyway.

I stand by my original post, these guys know better and left themselves vulnerable.

I think ND football players need to swear off women!! Nothing good seems to happen, maybe a team of Trappist Monks would be a good thing, at least we know they'd make some good beer! :)

If you're an ND student and you're going to get a girlfriend to write a paper for you, you better marry her. At least that's what Mary said.

    re: new captains

I like them! Those are my favorite players!

    re: Gipper

    ROTFL!!!

    re: ND girlfriend

Things could be worse. How about that USC girlfriend: "My boyfriend isn't a hero, he jumped out the second story window to escape the police!"

kp, his spirit pervades this team and the teams of the future. The performance of the MLBs will be measured against T'eo for a long time to come. No kidding.

Sid this was Terry's post that I was joking about. I thought about it and maybe you missed this one. "Terry, you left Teo off" Get it? Come on that's a good one.

I know that. I took it with good humor. I set out to provide a humorous reply, but I got all wrapped up in my statement. You're right. I should have lightened up.

Duh. I just now got what Terry was saying and what kp meant by his comment. Sometimes I'm slow on getting the meaning of things. It WAS funny. "......players without girlfriends."

Some comments on the Irish 2-deep:

    1. Chris Brown and Will Fuller are some real burners on the outside. We're going deep to those two.

    2. Look at all the true freshmen backing up the starters on defense! Holy cow! I count 6 out of 11 with 6 sophomores in there too. This is the greenest defense that I can remember...

    3. The team is stacked at TE, TB. There are adequate reserves at OL and QB on offense.

    4. The team is stacked at Safety, and CB on defense.

    5. The situation looks mighty thin at both LB and DL. I think the DEs will be OK, but if they're forced to play too many freshmen at the same time, that DL situation could be grim...
