ND <t>I still haven't come out of my depression from the asu game. I looked at the stats and that just made it worse. Of course we gotta move on. How can one QB be so good and so bad at the same time? Whatever.....moving on. We need 10 wins this season...for a lot of reasons. Let's hope we take care of NW and get rolling again. No reason we can't get 10 wins as both L'ville and SC are winable games.</t>
Gip ...are you still in Detroit? Your facebook post seems to imply that unless it's 31 with flurries in the Villages.
Doc Mary is working through the end of the year (Dec. 19th actually.) We're still in Michigan although we've sold and moved out of our home of 35 yrs. We'll be heading down to the Villages for 10 days around Thanksgiving and return to MI on Dec. 3. We'll drive to Columbus for Christmas with the family and then keep heading south for good. We're picking up our golf carts a week from Mon.
Sid and Mike got to experience this, at Texas we never had snow or magical scenes like you see here. I'm sure Stu saw this as well at Purdue. I'm sure the snow gets old and maybe Sid and Mike envied me walking to class in 60 degree weather in Jan/Feb down in Austin. But this looks so cool. http://vimeo.com/111769568
It's not only cool, its cold. And it gets old real soon. By Feb. you're so tired of the white death that you can't wait to see grass again. I guess it helps you focus on your studies and beer.
It is cool, Terry. I was never bothered by it unless I was heading home to Indy, and it hampered travel. In the cloistered campus environment, you didn't have far to go to any destination. As a student, I don't think I ever appreciated its beauty. I just thought of it as typical winter weather. I do recall being at a football game following a November snowstorm. I think it was '65 but not certain. It could have been an earlier season. Gip, you were a freshman in '65. Do you recall?
I don't recall a specific game like that Sid but I do recall one game when it was snowing and the students chanted "Ara stop the snow!"
It's possible that we have already won the last game we are going to win this year. Golson is lost out there and his turnovers suck the life out of this team. Kelly's play calling is erratic Uncle Rico's defense is being gutted weekly. Even Brindza is slumping. Three weeks ago we were talking playoff sceanios. Now are thinking Music City Bowl.
Someone explain why after a TD puting you up by 11 you don't go for 1? 1 pt. means you can't be tied by a TD and FG. They're supposed to have charts showing the best choice. If Kelly has one it was made by a f'n idiot. And while we're on the topic of idiots what idiot with 1:30 to go and his opponent out timeouts doesn't take a knee on second down on the opponents 30 yd. line?
