I wonder if that stupid twat reporter from the Indy Star still wonders if the loss to Ga. will "snowball" into more losses this season.
Gipper, the young lady you referred to is a very good reporter. I don't have a problem with the way she questioned Kelly. If you do, that's fine, but show some respect. You sound like the president. Tim, I'm guessing that a partial reason for the ranking is Georgia's convincing win over Mississippi, which tends to improve the quality of the loss, if there is such a thing.
It always feels good to put the wood to Sparty. As for the reporter, I thought she was being an instigator to be sure. At the same time, Kelly could handle these the way Saban does and he'd still be judged for it. Saban is pretty funny about it though.
From his first day in office the president has gotten absolutely no respect from the main stream media. You have to show respect to earn respect. And if that reporter is a very good reporter, how come she asked such a stupid question?
Notre Dame <r>Have you seen the post game locker room video with Coach Kelly dancing and the Megaphone? Hilarious! <E></E> <br/> <br/> It does reflect just how badly he wanted to win this game with MSU. He was one happy dude! Defnately not a candidate for dancing with the stars!! <E></E> <E></E> <E></E><br/> <br/> <br/> <URL url="https://www.onefootdown.com/2017/9/24/16356646/notre-dame-football-watch-brian-kelly-go-absolutely-nuts-in-the-irish-locker-room-megaphone-sparty"><LINK_TEXT text="https://www.onefootdown.com/2017/9/24/1 ... one-sparty">https://www.onefootdown.com/2017/9/24/16356646/notre-dame-football-watch-brian-kelly-go-absolutely-nuts-in-the-irish-locker-room-megaphone-sparty</LINK_TEXT></URL></r>
This was the play that really bothered me, I thought it was targeting and even the guys doing the game were surprised that it wasn't called. The big concern for me was that I was worried that Wimbush might be concussed. He got up and I thought he looked a little dinged and he didn't look sharp on the next play but after that he seemed ok. He's so important, really every starting QB in college or the pros is so critical to the team. Very few have an actual backup that can step in and the offense continue to do well.
That play really bothered me. Was anyone else as annoyed as I was with how the game was refereed? Years ago when Dave complained about ACC officials, I wrote it off as sour grapes. I now see somewhat what he was talking about, at least Saturday night.
Seriously who doesn't complain about officials? What league has great officials. ND was routinely hosed by B10 officials, lots of people complain about B12 officials, it was the Pac12 officials who not only have hosed ND a number of times but even hosed OU a few years ago so much so that OU said they'd never play a Pac12 team again. Even NFL officials are roundedly criticised on a weekly basis.
Good point, Terry. I guess when we're winning, I normally don't pay as much attention. That's probably true of most fans. Maybe it was the non-call on the targeting that's influencing my view. Maybe it's my old man crotchetiness.
