Yeah, I think we always give our guys the benefit of the doubt and the opposite when the other guys do it. Perosnally, I thought that both Notre Dame and LSU manipulated the system.
But I think what ND fans were upset about was the guys in the Booth making it a big deal. The crew at the Texas game just made excuses for LSU about how hot it was, like LSU was coming from Maine not Baton Rouge where it's just as hot and more humid than Austin. But in the end it didn't impact the game. Georgia won. That's all that matters.
Oh and in the end that wasn't what beat Texas. it was Joe Burrow v our defense. Not some gamesmanship by LSU.
The second one, where the guy was clearly poked in the eye, yet they kept on bitching is the one that got me. The first one required an explanation. Not the whining that the CBS crew did in their bush league coverage. That required some digging rather than speculation. The second one could be plainly seen in the replay, it's just funny that they didn't go back to it. The first one, I had no way of knowing that the guy had a possible concussion. Also, if we're going to 'tank it', why would we use two of our best defenders with the game on the line?
Methinks you're a little biased Corey. That first one was pretty funny. I hope the guy didn't really get injured when his captain threw him down. The second one was a legit poke in the eye but came right on top of the first one.
Stu, like I said above, we (all of us) give our guys the benefit of the doubt and we believe the worst of our opponents. I think the same goes for the announcers. If they good things about our team, they are ok. If they say bad things they are biased against us.
No, the CBS announcers suck even when the Irish aren't playing there. I honestly believe the SEC deserves better. It would be the first time I've been accused of being biased. Almost all I do is bitch about Kelly Inc.
