We will be wearing green jerseys. To those of you who think it's a curse (and you know who you are  ), read this interesting perspective on the history of the green jerseys. I still recall clearly how we pasted USC in 1977 on our way to a national championship. Embrace the Green Jerseys

I'm at 39,000 feet using my iPad with free wifi on delta. Heading to Dallas to see thrill new stadium.
ND <r>well ND finally figured out how to stop the option...took a damn long time but they finally did it...<br/> <br/> <br/> Nice game for ND. Defense again looked very good. <E>8)</E></r>
The Stadium was buzzing last night. The whole city got into ND as even the Empire State building was lit green. Went to an afternoon party in Little Italy then up to Times Square and midtown. We got a pretty good glow on there at the Hawaian Tropic Zone ( most headed for Irish bars but we knew better  ) and then continued up to the Bronx. It was interesting to watch the out of towners throughout the day.... they were in awe of The Apple. Even though we were no more than 30 minutes down the Hudson from West Point, this was decidedly an Irish home game and the Yankees really had the place looking good. The jumbotrons and the marquees that circle the stadium were Irish adorned all the way. The Stadium was packed and the crowd was into it yet the feeling of respect between the two factions ruled the night. My camera was safely back home (Idiot!) and my phone was getting low on charge so I don't have photos but I'm sure they'll be readily available. The cadet march into the stadium was awesome indeed. The stadium layout was perfectly fine for football although the seats on one side were significantly further away than on our side. The field was in excellent shape. I heard that several of the Yankees were present on the sidelines but the only one I eyeballed myself was Joe Girardi. The Irish defended the option perfectly after the second series and Harrison Smith played the single greatest game I have seen an Irish defensive player have in years. Tommy Rees is absolutely calm on the field and throws a nice ball and and has a good feel for pressure and has an escapability aspect that Crist lacked. The size difference between the two teams was huge. After the game it was on a bus and back to Fairfield, NJ for an after party hosted by the Calabrese family. Home by 3:30A. Note:ND fans agreed unamimously that a jumbotron opposite TD Jesus would make a world of difference in the gameday atmosphere at ND Stadium. There was also a lot of talk about installing field turf and that may be a reality soon.
No way. gave my tickets to my son Scott. My other son Adam and I are going Thursday night v. the Bengals .
BTW besides the win over Army, ND's women soccer team beat UNC to move into the elite 8 against OK. State from the B12. Also ND mens hockey team beat Mich State twice this weekend. Nice rebound year for Irish Hockey team.
