Guide for who to root for this Sat. Ohio State over Mich State OU over Baylor Utah over Oregon LSU over Alabama KState over TCU ...this is a close one. But KState still have W.Va. and Baylor to give them that 2nd loss while TCU has Kansas, Texas and Iowa State. Maybe Texas could beat them but they have the easier finishing schedule.
 re: Malik Henry I've seen him play on TV many times and he's a good one, but to say that he's the BEST player or even the best QB in California is simply not true. This is the "Year of the Quarterback" here and he's in the Top 10. As good as he is, I've never heard anyone around here call him the best. SoCal QBs 2014: 1. Josh Rosen 2. Ricky Town 3. Blake Barnett 4. Travis Waller 5. Jack Lowary 6. Josh Love 7. K.J. Costello 8. Trey Tinsley 9. Malik Henry The list goes on and on; there will be more. The QB at Damien this year is a freshman...
Ehhhh....it's all fun and games now until the playoffs....which if ESPN gets their way, will include 4, 2-loss SEC teams....or maybe just 3 if FSU doesn't stumble.
Nice Article on Nyles Morgan.. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/college/ct-nyles-morgan-notre-dame-football-spt-1106-20141105-story.html It's a huge opportunity for Morgan, if he plays well and finishes the season well he'll really be set up for a great run at MLB. If he gets abused by ASU and loses confidence and struggles a lot in the last 4 games...well welcome to the big time.
Graphic on ND Bowl Options. Too big to post here in a message...so follow the link. http://ndsportsblogger.tumblr.com/post/101845726733
Morgan is too good to fail. Oh, he'll have his frustrations and make some rookie mistakes but this kid is a stud. Nobody has said much about Greer Martini. 8)
I did. Greer Martini is a stud. He continues our Italian connection for whacking people at the line of scrimmage.
I couldn't read the article since it's a plus subscription article. There's no way I'm paying for the ChiTrib. Still, Morgan has the talent. I hope the staff finds a way to keep him utilizing his abilities while honing the mental aspect of the game. It's going to take a while, but we gotta do what we gotta do. Martini is just always in the mix and that's always a good thing. For a freshman, it's a great thing.
Corey, one of the options for the Chicago Tribune is 5 articles/month for free. I signed up for that option and read the article. Try it.
Cody Riggs....Foot Problem...won't play Sat. Ugh. Looks like we'll be playing a bunch of teenagers Sat. They all no doubt wanted to play early, they all no doubt thought when they were Sr's in HS that..no problem I can start from day one! We'll it's not day 1 but it's a hell of a big game, I hope thise teenagers have been paying attention in meetings. I'm talkin' about you Devin Butler!!
ASU breaking out special uniforms for the game....Desert Fuel! Let's light'em up!! https://twitter.com/TheSunDevils/status/518971246852071424/photo/1
Yeah 2 fumbles and a pick... not a good start. He caries that ball like the proverbial loaf of bread, it's always there for somebody to knock it out. Manziel did that as well but he has huge hands and as a result didn't fumble much. Also you can see the difference between having Joe in the Middle... they are gashing us right over where Morgan should be.
Too much Golson to overcome. Three TOs . Three quick TDs. That's 15 TO's for Golson in the last five games.
