Here's a link to a video of a play where Mack gets taken out by Vanderbilt.

I don't know enough to say anything other than he got taken out.

<t>it's the same type of shitty play you get with Navy. Legal? Yes, but dirty and dangerous.</t>

We need to win like we are a top team, not just squeeze by. The only reason we are still in the Top Ten is because two teams lost in front us. Even with that, two other teams moved around us.

When we went 12-0 a few years ago we won most games close like this. An undefeated ND is difficult to keep out of the playoff picture but one score margins of victory is not something that impresses pollsters. That 12-0 season ended with us getting crushed by Bama.

All sorts of stuff out there now that Book is going to start the WF game, Tom Loy says that Book and Wimbush split the reps 50/50 this week.

Very good first half by the Irish Offense. Ian Book doing a good job. The defense has been doing well, but you can see the effect of that hyperspeed WF
has on a defense, they've had some big plays essentially getting a snap off before we are lined up.

As great as Book has been, my game ball goes to Trevor Reuland making his first start at RG. He's really shored up that interior blocking and I've been really impressed.

So I'm not the only one who thinks that the offense looks a little better with Book at QB.

Very good game by the Irish, I'm not deluded that WF is a great team or anything. But this is what we should have done to Ball State and Vanderbilt.

The offense looked in tune, Book was everything you could hope for in this start. He made plays with his arm and with his feet. If Brandon Wimbush could do what Book did today he'd be a guy with 300yds passing and 100 yd rushing on the average, but he hasn't so to the bench. I wish he could, great kid and has worked hard but just not a fit for the offense that Kelly and Long want to run.

Glad to see the defense get a breather in the 4th qtr. That WF backup qb was a load but that's ok give the starters a rest and get the young guys some snaps.
