Finally, a little offense and Pyne looks a little like a college QB.

A lot of good things today, OL played well and we ran the ball, you could say we dominated the LOS. Of course we are talking about UNC who is not a good defense, but I will take it. Audric Estime ran for 134 yds, Drew Pyne was in charge and threw for 289 yds and 3 scores. Michael Mayer had a great great game Tommy Rees had a great game.

We should have hung 50 on them, but we didn't. The defense played pretty well against a good Carolina offense but still gave up a couple of cheap long scores. I have to say Drake Maye is a great young QB, and he does have a nice set of WR. They came in averaging over 51 points a game. Held them in check most of the game.

Now we have a bye week to get ready for a good BYU team in Las Vegas.

I really feel good about Drew's game today. He's living the dream of being a Notre Dame QB. He's always wanted to be a Notre Dame QB.

It's only a couple of games and things can certainly go South for him, but I am hoping that they won't not just because I want the Irish to win, but I really want Pyne to have his dream continue.

I watched most of the game... that TE is a BEAST.
The Irish took a little bit to get rolling, but when they did they made it look easy.

Link to Mack Browns press conference, he got a little over the top praising the Irish as the best team they have played since he's been back. Uh you do play Clemson, right?

Amazing isn't it? As the running game improves, so does the passing game. Once the secondary has to react to run fakes the receivers find space. Once receivers are open the QB looks so much better. Terry wrote that we should have hung 50 on them and we do if Estime doesn't fumble at the goal line.

It only took FOUR games to finally see a glimpse of what we thought we might see from this team. Anyway, one game at at time. Let's see what they can salvage for the season.

I always wanted to be the ND QB too but I don't think you want me back there ! Pyne looked MUCH better today. Of course the O-Line finally woke up which opened up the ground game and the passing game. It all begins up front. Bertrand's targeting call was completely bogus. We still need a downfield threat... if there are any freshman that can get open now is the time to see them.

Careful Terry. The correct reply would be, Gee, Godfather, I think you would make a great QB. :D

Well Mike Brey has picked up a couple of good verbals.

Notre Dame has landed a commitment from 2023 Bixby (Okla.) combo guard Parker Friedrichsen‍ and it’s a perfect fit.

Mike Brey’s squad will need to replace several guards next season and the 6-foot-4, 170-pounder will be up for the task on and off the floor as Friedrichsen isn’t your normal high school senior according to Bixby head coach Lance Kight.

    And a few weeks ago

2023 Harvard Westlake (Calif.) small forward Brady Dunlap picked up his offer from Notre Dame at the end of August and has committed to Notre Dame following his official visit over the weekend.

The 6-foot-7, 190-pounder has a top six of Colorado, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Providence, Rice and San Diego State.

Irish picked up a PWO, Henry Garrity, whose dad was one of the all time great Irish basketball players, Pat Garrity. He plays for Brother Rice in the Detroit area. Maybe gipper can give us a sense of how good a program Brother Rice is and what competition they play against.

Also a style alert for the UNLV game.
