I actually haven't read JO'Co's preview, It always depresses me when I do and I've got a good feeling about this game and don't want reality to intervene!! :)

    ND/USC

    <r>Prediction: BQ 3TD passes, DW 125yds rushing

Who wins? ND wins only if we have pretty much a perfect, no turnovers type game and the Defense holds USC under 30. If the Irish come out flat in the first QTR in this one, it could be over before the 3rd qtr. I wish I could have more confidence in the outcome of this game but we just have too many weaknesses. ND can win this one but not if they make mistakes. USC just has too much talent on hand.

the good news is that we have a very good coach and he is recruiting well so that in a couple more years fans like myself will go into every game against teams like USC with much more confidence.

Stoops is doing a good job in Arizona as is his brother at OU.

As stated earlier I hope for the best Saturday versus SC
but will be covering my eyes when Booty steps back to pass and knowing Lambert and Richardson are covering Jarrett and Smith. OUCH !!

IMO SC will be playing the Buckeys for the title.</t>

Local TV and radio is becoming insufferable. Southern Cal is making its case for being in the NC game. They don't even consider losing to either Notre Dame or UCLA as a possibilty. They're talking as if those games are already won. They fully expect both games to be blow-outs. Not just easy victories; but bloody massacres.

Uh...exqueeze me, but I've seen all of their games this year and except for the pathetic teams like Stanford and Arkansas, they've been tested to the fourth quarter by most of their schedule. Don't get me wrong, they're good...but they will be tested by both Notre Dame and UCLA.

I have a feeling that Charlie has been saving some magic just for these guys. He's a known trickster/planner/schemer and the fact that he was able to name every Trojan starter off the top of his head at his last news conference tells me that these Troglodytes have had his full attention for some time now. I've watched him experimenting with Aldridge and Prince through the soft part of the schedule and he's admitted that he prepared for USC instead of Army last week. I suspect that he's actually been working on USC stuff for the last month...

I'm with you Jo'Co......I think Weiss will pull out all the stops. CW needs a high profile win for his program and this may it.

    :p
BTW- some of my family is part of the GameDay crowd out there at the Coliseum today. They include my daughter Jennifer, son-in-law Grady and grandson Brendan. They don't have tiks to the game, they just drove over there for the tailgate...

I'm sure they're having fun and they've been calling us when the GameDay crew is on...but I just refuse to pay $60 for parking if I don't get to go to the game...
