I had already read this article and agree with most of the remarks. Clearly Zaire is going to have a lot of weight on his shoulders. Probably not fair, but that is the way I see it as well.
Sort of like J.T. Barrett had last year, hopefully his year turns out like Barretts, without the injury and the loss to an average team early!
  Zaire loves the pressure. Some guys want the ball and the spotlight. re: Buckeyes Braxton Miller has been moved to WR. http://www.si.com/college-football/2015/07/23/braxton-miller-ohio-state-move-wide-receiver#
Was the last Texas-Notre Dame game really 19 years ago? It doesn't seem that long ago. I was there with TOK and Tim Gentry. Jim Sanson won the game with a FG as time expired. I had run into Sanson a few weeks before in a baseball tournament in Mesa, AZ on the 4th of July. We could not get that kid out. The game went about 12 innings and I think he went something like 7 for 8 with a walk... http://www.und.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/sanson_jim00.html <iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/-P3p6qrFs7U?feature=player_embedded" frameborder="0"></iframe>
Jim Not surprised by the move but why release this information so soon?? I hope Coach Meyer was aware of that interview??
ND <t>Jo'Co,<br/> <br/> You're right. I can't believe it has been that long since ND played Texas in Austin. I remember I was so worried Sanson wouldn't make that kick that I didn't want to watch. You assured me the kid would do it and damn if he didn't. I also remember Texas had a young RB on the team they wre calling little Earl at the time. I think his name was Williams.</t>
If you are an ISD Member, they put out an Intel today and it's pretty positive, if you like kool aide go read it. St. Brown very impressive. Ronnie Stanley..big time leader Zaire getting the job done Josh Adams impressive at RB for freshman etc... Alloway the WR from Calif "was blown away by his visit" commitment is expected early August. Of course they don't have pads on and are just doing summer drills!
ND <r>Yes, I remember it well.<br/> <br/> <URL url="http://s661.photobucket.com/user/timgentry_photos/media/NDTEX_zpsnm74bt6j.jpg.html"><s></s><IMG src="http://i661.photobucket.com/albums/uu333/timgentry_photos/th_NDTEX_zpsnm74bt6j.jpg"><s></e></IMG><e></e></URL></r>
Good article from 1 foot down... http://www.onefootdown.com/2015/7/27/9029655/the-top-notre-dame-football-fall-camp-positional-battles-defense
ND <t>Fall camp next week:<br/> <br/> The season will be kick-started by head coach Brian Kelly’s press conference on Thursday August 6th at 10 a.m.<br/> <br/> On August 7th, the football team will hold the first practice of fall camp at Culver Academy at 10:40 a.m. for two hours. The team will remain at Culver until Tuesday August 11th and resume the rest of camp on campus. In 2014, Notre Dame made the trip to Culver and served as a chance for the team to build chemistry in addition to practicing.<br/> <br/> Go Irish!</t>
ND <r><QUOTE><s> </e></QUOTE> Correct. Even I, as one of Kelly's biggest supporters will have to say we need 10 wins at least and the team has the potential for even better. It's time. <br/> <br/> Having said that, let's hope for no suspensions/problems/injuries for any reason between now and the first game. <br/> <br/> Go Irish!</r>
I keep wondering when the whole Ishaq drama will finally resolve itself. Lot's of talk this week about all the visits that Hunter Johnson has taken to Tenn for recruiting. I kept thinking he might verbal to ND before our season starts, but probably not. Actually I don't really blame kids like him for waiting, he's just going to be a HS Jr this fall and a lot of things can happen that affect his college choice.
The Irish are deep and talented but lets not forget that our QB has one game under his belt and our PK has never attempted a college kick.
And let's not forget that if Malik goes down our backup has no game experience and got few reps in the spring because Golson was wasting them.
 as I scan the schedule..I find BC and Umass to be two of the stronger teams on the ND schedule. ahhhh the good old days are gone forever!
