Just remember these moments now, because when the boo birds fire up later in the season, they will claim that there's no excuse.

Ralph, take "ND" out of my comment, and it probably applies to most major college programs.

<t>Well Redfield had to know he was walking on thin ice because of everything that had already gone on before. As the senior in that group he also should have been setting the younger players straight. All you can say now is I hope he gets his life straight and moves on successfully somewhere. As far as how it effects the team? He was being pushed hard for his starting spot by a freshman.</t>

I am talking about the guys who wanted Holtz gone, and then every coach after because they weren't named Gruden. The NDNation crowd. The crowd that makes a lot of noise and causes more humiliation for the school on a daily basis than a car load of weed smoking, gun toting teenagers do.

We have a special class of asshole fan who is simply never happy. In my time in the South, the only thing I've seen close to it are certain Alabama fans. These were the ones who insisted that only Bear Bryant level domination is acceptable under the Capstone. Now that they have that, and more, they won't even hear about Saban being compared to the Bear.

I'm sure Tennessee and other great programs have them as well. I've just had the most experience with those 2. They are the fans who are only happy looking behind them at images of the past through rose colored glasses.

Those are the ones who will call for our DCs head when we get beat deep this year.

Sort of funny. Tim O'Malley of Irish Illustrated apparently interviewed Dexter Williams last Friday...and was set to write a story on him.

Chris Finke is the new Joe Schmidt!! He's on scholarship now and probably will get on the field and not just in garbage time. The kid has some skills.

DA has filed level 2 - 6 felony charges against Devin Butler. In the spirit of innocent till proven guilty, he's likely to continue on indefinite suspension till his court case is done. If convicted he's done permanently at ND, even if he's not convicted I wonder if he'll ever play again at ND, I'd say good chance he wont.

Our best off-season news has been that our Shamrock uniforms suck... Let's hope the kids are ready to step up and play a big role this year. We'll need them.

Where are you seeing that Tim? I'm not seeing any announcement from ND yet.

BTW those of you who haven't had enough of Charlie Weis stories on how bad he's been treated by ND can read this.

Krebs is Coors Lite still your go to beer? Invite poor Charlie over for one sometime! 8)

Saw it on 247. In Kelly's pressed yesterday he mentions they are practicing and will be available for play against Texas but still subject to action by the University.<br/>

As far as the Weis story I think he is probably twisting the facts a little.&#128580;</t>

Don't get me started, Doc. Too late!

When he as an assistant on the Giants fans called him Coach Corky after the character on Life Goes On.

I still bristle when I think back to the constant confusion that was his sideline at ND, with Lil' Charlie in the middle of it all with the headset on.

The heist his agent negotiated for him at both ND and Kansas will go down with the Lufthansa heist as one of the greatest and best planned robberies in history.

I really don't expect those guys to play against Texas and maybe not against Nevada. To me that would be pretty fair punishment.

    On the Weis story.
He goes on to make a lot of comments including being bitter about Charlie Jr. not being admitted after he was told he would be when he was hired. I remember an article that was published right after he left ND where he said he knew where his son would not be going to college, ND, because he thought everybody at ND and South Bend from Swarbrick down to the lady next to his wife in the grocery store were mean to them.

I think a lot of what he says is just him making himself a victim...see look at me I'm great but nobody notices.

I'm so surprised that cell phone video hasn't surfaced of this incident. Also the officer who was involved has a reported history of citizen complaints against his heavy handed way of doing things.

Believe me, if he was at Tennessee, I would be calling for his release from the team AFTER proven guilty. Resisting arrest is a vague topic. If a police officer grabs your arm in an attempt to detain you, and you tighten up your arm muscle, you are resisting arrest. The more you resist, the more forceful the officers will be. The youth of this nation need to realize this and stop blaming law enforcement!

If you read the story, I don't think you would.

The officer has a history of bullying people and making **** up. When you consider the 'facts' of his report, a the cornerstone of his story is that he was body slammed by a guy who in reality was in a walking boot and was on crutches just the day before..

I mean, reading this, it's not a BLM propaganda ad. These are pulled from his own court documents. The dude sounds like a time bomb.
