ND <t>Cam McDaniel describes Greg Bryant as "a very violent runner". Can't wait to see this kid in action this year!</t>
ND <r>Saw this video today. If you're an ND fan you'll love it.<br/> <br/> <URL url="http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Zg7yeVS_u4U"><LINK_TEXT text="http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... g7yeVS_u4U">http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Zg7yeVS_u4U</LINK_TEXT></URL></r>
I see that the Lady Irish could end up playing the 1st round in Baton Rouge because they don't use neutral sites like the mens tournament (attendance would be terrible). Alt might be Toledo. UConn might go to Louisville or Lincoln Neb.
That video has disappeared from the internet. apparently the football office never intended it for public viewing...just recruits. But who ever is in charge of things thought he/she could put it on the web and nobody would find it. Seems to have been a rash of these types of missteps over there, somebody needs to be fired (not Kelly). Also Irish Men sealed their worst basketball season in years with a blowout by Wake Forrest in the ACC tourney leaving them below .500 for the season.
A merciful end to the season and a boost for the struggling baseball team to get Connaughton back in the pitching rotation. Golden Tate signed a 5-year deal with the Lions. I'm glad he no longer plays for Carroll. What do you think, gipper?
I'm glad to see the Lions get a receiver to compliment Calvin Johnson. Tate has very good hands, something most Lion's WRs did not. So I will no longer refer to the receiving corps as Calvin and the Chipmunks. I think Tate also returns kicks which is a plus for the Lions.
I guess what he said after the Super Bowl..."I love Seattle and I'll take less money to stay" went out the door when the Lions made their offer. It it had been me, I'd have stayed in Seattle where they have a winning organization and an excellent coach rather than go to Detroit where they have a long history of losing. But in the end it's always about the money. Good luck to him, he's certainly an exciting player. I have to assume that Seattle decided that Percy Harvin was the guy they want in that position and encouraged him to move on.
Good news of sorts, at least for me. We won't be bothered with Brent Musberger's play-by-play for the national games anymore. He's going to the SEC network. If SEC fans like him, so be it. If not, he's their problem now. I've never actually disliked him. I just grew tired many years ago of his band wagon hyperbole. It's a shtick that works for some, not for others. I'm in the "others" category.
Walk-on <r>JO'Co,<br/> <br/> Well it looks like we are getting another preferred walkon from LA. Sam Bush, 6-foot-4, 285-pound offensive lineman from Mater Dei High School. Sounds like a great kid and family. <br/> <br/> Quote from Bush: <br/> <QUOTE><s> </e></QUOTE></r>
I hope the kid has a great experience, and maybe even contributes all though a walk on OL isn't very likely...still it could happen.
I would say, due to scholarship restrictions and possible attrition, that OL and DL would be the most likely place for a walk on to actually see duty. Any time we can dip in and have a big body available, it can't be a bad thing. We aren't a state school, we don't exactly have those guys just walking around campus.
