my favorite was when coaches (usually in the Belt) were pushing that crap when we had Muslim players with clearly Islamic names.... If the kid is that god damned stupid, he won't make it at ND anyway.
Forgot to mention we picked up a RB named Josh Adams who is coming off of ACL surgery. Everybody says he was awesome before the ACL and he's expected to be 100% for his Sr. Year. Said he can move to OLB or S if RB doesn't work out for him. I just remember what everybody said about James Aldridge before his knee injury, I don't think he ever recovered and while he played all 4 years never was an impact player at RB. I think eventually he bulked up and was a decent fullback though.
 re: Travis Waller I was never a big fan of his anyway. He's a good player, but not a great one. The loss that hurt was Barnett...
Urban Meyer relieved us of two of our top recruiting targets today as well. Bad day. That Urbie is serious business. 8)
Well we did get some good news. Mile Boykin a 4* WR from Illinois verballed to the Irish yesterday. Big skill WR. Has some speed and is tall. Welcome to the Jungle!!
 Niles Sykes to Indiana... This kid also transferred high schools as part of his "business plan." Remember the good old days when you got your education first...then went into business? http://www.elkharttruth.com/sports/college-sports/notre-dame-university/2014/07/02/Incoming-freshman-Nile-Sykes-no-longer-playing-for-Notre-Dame.html http://www.southbendtribune.com/sports/college/notredame/football/notre-dame-lb-signee-nile-sykes-headed-to-indiana/article_3412eb0a-0385-11e4-aa4f-001a4bcf6878.html
ND <t>The kid sounds like he's afraid he's not gonna get any playing time. Soooooo...worst case scenario he rides the pines and gets a degree from ND or get's lot's of playing time and maybe a degree from Indiana...please, he needs to go to IU. He needs to go to some kind of school.</t>
Well as Sid can attest, IU is an excellent school and if he takes it seriously he will be well educated and have a good foundation for a career after football. If not then it doesn't make any difference where he goes.
A solid 3-star recruit to IU is like a 4-star to ND. He'll play early if he pans out. IU desperately needs to improve its defense.
8) His goal appears to be to spend as little time in college as possible and go to the NFL. It looks like the only reason he left Notre Dame was because he would have to share playing time as a freshman...
The following is quite long, but for those interested enough to take the time, it's a nice read about a great year for ND athletics.
