Gip, Right! I remember Fallon. A short guy (probably my height) with a thick head of curly hair. I was thinking of the swim coach, a taller, lanky guy. I was not at all denigrating your athletic ability. I know you had to be a good athlete as a young man, based on two observations: 1) your golf game, which I've witnessed. To be as good as you are takes excellent hand-eye coordination; and 2) your son's athletic accomplishments. He had to get some of that from your genes. On the contrary, I was recalling that Seymour and Hanratty both were about 6' or more. Go Irish ladies! Beat the Aggies!
A lot of buzz that plans are well underway for the installation of Jumbo tron at the end of the Stadium opposite Touchdown Jesus. Can I get an AMEN!
I'm not really onboard with the whole Jumbotron deal myself. I like our clean classic look stadium. But Kelly has gotten a few jabs in at how recruits are surprised we don't have a jumbotron...inferring that it puts us at a disadvantage with them....I'm personally not buying it. As long as we don't go with the Taco Bell ads all the time like they do at Texas and Texas A&M.
Too far away from the southern border for that. Worry about the Canadian Beer ads in South Bend!
Both ND and Michigan will be wearing throw back uniforms when they play this year. It'll be the first night game ever in Mich stadium. Personally I'm not big on the whole throw back uniforms deal, usually to me they just look odd. ND vs Mich
Krebs boy Carlo in for some criticism the other day. Actually Diaco had some words for a number of things that indicated he's stepped up his expectations for the players in his 2nd year and not very pleased when they aren't accomplishing things the way he wants them to do it. I like it. Get tough and demand excellence!
Where did you get that story? I'm checking it out with his dad. Hard to believe unless he showed up out of shape which is way out of character for him. He averaged 8 tackles a game and was teh 4th or 5th leading tackler last year in spite of missing four games due to a torn hamstring. I'll follow up with you.
It was a paragraph out of Christian McCollums ISD Notebook for April 6th. If you aren't an ISD member, sign up!! Lots of good inside information there just like that little tidbit I shared with you.
