It's rare for an athlete who excels in the 100 and 200 to also excel in the 400. The kid has some serious afterburners.

<t>Finally some sanity on the ND vs Texas game prediction from where else but VEGAS: ND opens ad an early 5pt favorite. Sounds about right to me,</t>

Wow, that's huge. He's probably the top QB in the 2018 class or at least one of the top 2 or 3. After I read some stuff about his visit to Columbus I thought that the Buckeyes and Urban were going to win this battle.

Of course it's a long way to 2018 and I know Urban won't just move on to the next guy if he really wants him. Also I remember being this excited over Blake Barnett when he announced for the Irish.

And of course there is this reminder of Charlie Weis and his never ending contract. Which I think actually has ended!

So why in May of 2016 are they reporting payments in 2014? And of course the headline is Charlie Weis "still raking in cash from ND"
How about Bill Clinton still getting blow jobs in the Oval Office...?

I watched a few innings of the Irish/NC game.
One thing... was it my imagination, or did half of the ND guys look to be about 12???
That two hole batter was a baby!

Torii Hunter, Jr. hit his first college HR for ND's only run. My son saw it. I had stopped watching by then.

I wish we could claim youth for the current teams 6 week slide to oblivion.

I'm pretty sure Aoki will be back next year, the season started with expectations of another NCAA appearance this year. So I doubt the AD has been working the phones to see who is available. So we'll see, this year iost, I would hope that Aoki will be on the hot seat next season though. He's been here long enough to rebuild the program.

What ever happened to Blake Barnett anyway? I never hear his name mentioned as QB on the Alabama team.</t>

Meanwhile the womens teams continue excellence. ND Softball is in the NCAA's and Womens Lacrosse is highly seeded in the NCAA tournament.

kp probably better answer what has happened to Blake Barnett. But everything I've read is that Cooper Bateman is the most likely starter in the 1st game.

Blake is in the mix as are a couple of other guys, but he apparently hasn't separated himself from the crowd. Also it has seemed like Saban loves the more experienced QB's even if they aren't maybe as talented as the younger guys.

Don't jinx him gip! :) I'll always wonder what Ron's career would have been like if he hadn't been injured in August camp his freshman year. Even with that he had a good not great ND career. He came to ND as a dual threat QB who liked to run, but after his injury he got a little heavy and slower and wasn't a threat to run like he was in HS. I sure enjoyed his games vs Texas though.

BTW a good look at the Irish for 2016 on SBNation
