Wow..Boykin chose ND. In the last week everybody thought he'd go to Florida and then late he seemed to be favoring UVA.

    This is a bonus.

<t>Looks like the Irish will finish in the top 10 classes. Barely but looks like a real good class.</t>

    :D

This is a great class. Lamb is a real stud-pony who has caused our local teams lots of grief in recent years and we finally got a Mission Viejo player away from UCLA. This will work.

<t>I may have over reacted on Quinn. Seems he had a lot to do with getting the the Patterson kid and shoring up the commitment of Luke Jones the OL from Arkansas. Appears to be a good recruiter so far. We'll see how he is as OL coach.<br/>

Couldn't help myself and took a peek over on the ND Nation board. Seemed much more negative than positive comments on this class over there. I don't think anything will make them happy except the day that Kelly leaves. Honestly though, I doubt they would be happy with anyone unless they came in and won like three straight NCs the first three years. I don't care who you are, there aren't many great coaches just waiting to be hired. Better make sure the guy you want is willing to come when you ask cause you could sure end up a lot worse off. Also getting that dream coach you been wanting to come doesn't necessarily always pay off either. Just ask Michigan after today. That situation hasn't seemed to pay off yet. It may but right now things look a little rough.</t>

In my opinion, there is nothing, and I mean nothing, more detrimental to the public image of the University of Notre Dame than NDNation.com.

Not familiar with ND Nation but Dr. Baker's diagnosis does not sound good.

It was an excellent recruiting year and the loss of some key coaches did not seem to have any affect as it turned out.

If we get improved QB play next year this team should be very hard to beat.

No secret that I was a rabid defender of Wimbush, but a new season is a new season. I'll support to the max whoever the coaches decide is our QB for the 2018 season.

side note: The kid, Malik Langham, that ND came in late on (but slightly ahead of Alabama) wound up pulling a surprise signing day move and wound up at Florida. Funny, 2 months ago the kid was a '3 star project' but by signing day he was a consensus '4 star get.' These ratings systems are just ********.

Eh Husker baby, got any strings to pull to get my kid one of those preferred walk on deals at Nebraska??

Did you think you'd ever see these words in print?

Notre Dame is the Big 10 Champion!

In hockey. By virtue of a 2-1 win last night over Ohio State, ND is the regular season champion in its first year as a member of the 7-team conference (ND, OSU, MSU, MI, MN, WI, PSU).

Never thought I would see that day Sid. But at least so far joining the Big10 Hockey league has been a good move. Geographically it just made so much more sense than having all of our conf opponents in New England. Not to mention some of the Big10 members like OSU, MSU and Mich were foes from the old CCHA.

I watched the 3rd period last night, but not really watching much hockey I have a hard time appreciating the nuances of the play.

Irish Men today at FSU and Irish women at home tomorrow vs Ga.Tech.

Well Irish men have a 2 game winning Streak now, beating FSU in the Joyce!

Hockey has game 2 at Compton with Ohio State.

Lot of snow in the South Bend area. I saw a story on NBC news about what the Indiana highway dept was doing to try and keep the roads open.
