I meant to acknowledge Ralph's comment that Miami plays its home games in a stadium 42 miles from the campus via heavy traffic. That has to be a minimum of an hour's travel, probably more. No wonder there isn't a big crowd for their games.
They had an article the other day in the Lincoln Star about a Nebraska fan that travels from Washington state each week during the season to attend NU home games.
ND <r><QUOTE><s> </e></QUOTE> Yes, and most ND fans travel hundreds and some thousands of miles to see an ND game. I'm just sayin....</r>
Re: ND <r><QUOTE><s> </e></QUOTE> Tim, don't forget than thousands of Husker fans are willing to travel to South Bend to see a game also!! <E></E></r>
Rumors flying around that Tommy Rees will be named the starter for the Miami game. Meltdown amongst Irish fans. Personally I just want to win the game and if Tommy is the guy I'm ok with it. But I really thought Kelly was solidly behind starting Golson with Tommy in the bullpen. I thought that was a good idea, get Golson playing time and if he's screwing up then bring in Tommy. But if Tommy starts and wins, I wonder where that leaves Golson. On the bench till Tommy screws up? Gunner Kiel come on down.
Despite rumor mongers all over the place.....INCLUDING HERE :!: Kelly has apparently announced that Golson will be starting. Sheech!
Hey Tim, congratulations to most ND fans who travel hundreds and some thousands of miles to see a ND game. But more than likely most don't...
Reports today from people living in Chitown are that they are seeing a lot of Miami fans around the city.
I think it's safe to say that if you saw more than 4 "U" fans in Chicago, that would constitute a lot. For me it's 4 to many...
I was thinking the same thing Ralph.....however I personally only know of 2 who traveled more than a 1,000 to see them this year....
Maybe its not for the football game...? Chicago police find about 1,500 pot plants in city http://news.yahoo.com/chicago-police-1-500-pot-plants-city-075850659.html
