I meant to acknowledge Ralph's comment that Miami plays its home games in a stadium 42 miles from the campus via heavy traffic. That has to be a minimum of an hour's travel, probably more. No wonder there isn't a big crowd for their games.

They had an article the other day in the Lincoln Star about a Nebraska fan that travels from Washington state each week during the season to attend NU home games.

I saw that. He was Barry Alvarez's asst. in Wisky for 3 years. He's a candidate last I heard.

I saw more Irish fans than Navy fans in Dublin. It was their HOME game.

Rumors flying around that Tommy Rees will be named the starter for the Miami game. Meltdown amongst Irish fans.

Personally I just want to win the game and if Tommy is the guy I'm ok with it. But I really thought Kelly was solidly behind starting Golson with Tommy in the bullpen. I thought that was a good idea, get Golson playing time and if he's screwing up then bring in Tommy.

But if Tommy starts and wins, I wonder where that leaves Golson. On the bench till Tommy screws up?

    Gunner Kiel come on down.

Hey Tim, congratulations to most ND fans who travel hundreds and some thousands of miles to see a ND game.

But more than likely most don't...

I think it's safe to say that if you saw more than 4 "U" fans in Chicago, that would constitute a lot. For me it's 4 to many...
