So in my dreams I never saw 42 - 0 at the half.

Backups in and Purdue gets on the board.

Irish though have lost 3 starters to what appears to be knee injuries. That's very damaging

66-7, most points the Irish have ever scored.

Great win of course, never expected it to be like it turned out..

Injuries are big going forward and I am still worried about Riley as a psser.

Angeli stands in the pocket and throws to his WRs. He looked more like a QB than Leonard.

Our OLs all wear knee braces. Not sure they’re worth much.

I don’t know about other ND fans but today’s game just made me more angry. Last week was unforgivable. Oh and Vannie is worthless.

I think we aren't as bad as we were against NIU, nor as good as we looked today.

Also, like many, I have been disappointed in our Aussie kicker.

He's not awful but just not spectacular like so many of them are that I watched.

Congratulations. That was a complete and utter embarrassment. Y’all are probably that good but we were woefully unprepared both from player competivness and coaching strategy. Not only could our guys not beat their man but they were consistently in the wrong place. Was very impressed by ND blocking across the board. Gonna be a long season. When does basketball start?

Didn't expect that out of either team. Irish looked very good. Gotta be maddening for Irish fans after last week. Got to be happy with the bounce back tho, coulda gone the other way. Ask FSU or UF

One never knows what will happen the following week after a bad game, Notre Dame certainly was a surprise to me. The Boilermakers were just the opposite. Oregon look like a different team. Kentucky actually had the game won until the last quarter. Texas is blessed with two good quarterbacks. I hope our bye week has no surprises for us this coming week vs Marshall.

Not a big surprise of course, and as Sid noted it's always next man up. On the OL we are lucky to have backups who have played and started games last year in Rocco and Coogan. On the DL we'll get to see a lot more of freshman Bryant Young for sure.

So far, at least to me, Brian Urlacher's kid (Kennedy) is a really good looking true freshman.

    From the press conference today.

    On safety Kennedy Urlacher:
”Man, he’s a ballhawk. He finds a way to find the ball, close space. He’s a really good tackler. I challenged our coaches, even on special teams, can we get him out there more? I’m going to continue to challenge Kennedy to make sure you’re a great practice player too. Those are things that are hard as a freshman to learn how to practice at that standard and then perform at the standard he’s performing at. He is a really good player and made some critical plays for us on Saturday and we’ll continue to find ways to get him on the field.”

Some bad news on the women's basketball front, Maddy Westbeld will be out for the start of the season after having some foot surgery.

Good thing that Coach Ivey brought in some grad transfers who can fill in the gap.

Kind of thing that you like to hear about a player who is a backup and didn't go to the portal.

Coogan knew where he wanted to go and committed to the Irish three weeks after receiving his offer and it’s one of the reasons he stayed at Notre Dame in 2024 after losing his starting job during fall camp.

“It was really hard,” Coogan stated. “It’s been quite a journey, but my love for this university is so much stronger than any personal goal or accolade or representation of my own self. This offensive line, this offense, this team, this program. I’ve been die-hard since I was five years old, so I’m living out my dream right now, and obviously, it’s better living it out on the field.

“It sucked, but I knew for sure that I was a huge part of this team. I just had to keep my head up. It was hard, it was very hard. I had an amazing support system.”

Everyone is picking a big Irish win. Hope it's another win similar to Purdue.
