Re Faust: I doubt if any coach let go by his university continued to love that university more than Faust which speaks volumes about the quality of both the university and him.
I like the fact that James is a good receiver also. Not a player with a lot of stars but has some great stats. RB coach likes him so he must have things they like. McCullough seems to be a good judge of RB talent.
This is Tom Loy on flipping James from BC. Lastly, we all saw Notre Dame flipped former Boston College running back commit Nolan James Jr. For the Irish, this was among the weekend's top prioritites. They watched a ton of running back tape and they genuinely believe they landing a Top247 running back in James. The Irish, led by running backs coach Deland McCullough, absolutely love him and believe he's one of the more complete backs in the country. They could have made a run at other higher-rated guys or players with "more impressive" offer lists, but James was the guy they loved, wanted, and eventually targeted as a top priority. The more I watch James' tape, the more I tend to agree with Notre Dame's evaluation here. I would have him on the backend of the Top247, but we'll see how it shakes out.
I do not believe Moller is as strong as they used to be, but still a force in the Cincinnati HS scene. Just checked Moeller's standing and they are #1 currently.
Jerry was a good man. If only his coaching acumen matched his enthusiasm and love for the school he would have been successful. Perhaps it was the school's fault thinking he could jumb from HS to major college.
Early signing day for all sports except football. Irish men's basketball got their best class in years, hopefully they all work out. The Irish women only signed one player, Leah Macy a highly rated wing from Kentucky. Not sure about the other sports.
