kp, unfortunately - or fortunately - we don't have Pitt on the schedule this year.

<t>ND needs to be playing one of those schedules that include some really solid teams like Florida Atlantic or Western Carolina. Oh wait, my bad, that's what Alabama does.</t>

kp, at least your knowledge of our schedules shows that we're relevant in some sense of the word.

<t>Yes Temple and Air Force would be a upgrade over Florida Atlantic and Western Carolina. Sorry but you're the one that decided to be funny on the Notre Dame topic. I promise I won't post on an Alabama thread.</t>

Yeah Tim, this is an Alabama thread. Look at the article. You have a lot of help. I am the only Alabama fan here. I have to punch back every once in a while or I'll go crazy and y'all will get cocky. 8)

Sid, y'all played for the National Championship 2 years ago right? I would say that is very relevant.

There was an article the other day from some idiot (not Finebaum) that Saban was #14 of coaches on the hot seat. I just stopped laughing. Saban will be here until he has 3 7-5 seasons at least. Well I mean this is Alabama.

Tim, I am curious as to what you find offensive about kp making a little joke? I bet most Notre Dame fans welcome him to the discussion.

Particularly since we don't have closed topics.

What was the problem with Tim's avatar Tom? I know Terry tried and he had done many before.

Terry pulled it and made it smaller but couldn't get it linked to Tim's ID. The Skybox is a fickled mistress... I know how to stroke her. 8) 8) 8)

kp is cool with me. I like him a lot! I envy his current team success! It can be fleeting as we all know. Rock on kp!

I didn't find it to be "offensive" but then again I didn't take it as a joke. I also didn't say the "topic" was a closed one, I simply meant I didn't see why he picked a topic/thread which read "Notre Dame Fall Camp" to post something negative about ND. I'm sure he is a fine fellow and all other ND fans in the U.S. will find him just dandy. In the future I'll have to keep in mind that kp is only joking when he makes comments about ND. He's only joking...He's only joking...He's only joking...He's only joking...He's only joking....it's working!....He's only joking...He's only joking...<br/>

Tom, Thanks for fixing the Avatar. Terry sent me a message explaining why he deleted it but I didn't have time to fix it, or TRY to fix it earlier today. I know it's probably simple but I just never took the time to figure out how to get an avatar down to an acceptable size(pixels) for the board.</r>

    Tim,
This post in this thread was not about "Notre Dame Fall Camp". Sid posted it and I guess I failed at relating the light hearted poke at him. He seemed to understand it that way but this is the internet and I guess it wasn't obvious enough. No problem though. 8)

If Notre Dame goes 10-2 with their schedule do they get in the playoffs? Conversely, should the teams in the article be required to go 12-0 to qualify?

    George,

No! Probably not fair, but life in football is never completely fair either!

I am afraid the playoffs we all seemed to want, may be more controversial than the old system?

The Irish have a commendable schedule, but will pay the price in the long run.

I think expansion of the playoffs to 8 teams would include all of the teams at the end of the year that deserve a shot at the championship. 2 losses might be a tough sell to get in but 1 loss (depends on who the loss is to) may still get a team in. I mean, how many years do we have 4 undefeated teams at the end of the year. 8)
