Brown is probably the best place for him. Good education and the football is not too taxing. :)

OK, Joel. Here it is. For those who want to see what Joel is talking about, here is a YouTube 2008 highlight film of Trevor Barsamian. The kid certainly is a piledriver. At that size, he probably will play at the D-1 level.

If he plays D-1 at all as an offensive back, it will be fullback. Fullback in most offenses are blockers not ball carriers except for short yardage. He looks extremely powerful but a tad slow because of his size.

thanks sid..yes florida is interested as are many schools. His Dad ( Mr Market) who played college ball at UPENN wants the kid to get an ivy education...that may change as recruiters start banging on his door.

    NDFan77,

Mike Anello has befriended Carlo in fact and told his pop that he's the kind of player he wants next to him on special teams. Weis has told him that he expects Carlo to play special teams this year. I'm telling you guys that once he picks up the system he will play D. He's big, athletic and there probably aren't ten guys on the team stronger than him right now.

Another thing. I don't know where you guys come off suggesting I've got "inside" information.....

Jif it's not happening, he's not listed by any recruiting service. He's the class of 2010 so it's too late for him to have a good Sr. year and impress JoePa. The die is already cast. He's destined for the Ivies or maybe Amherst.

Prince Shembo looks like a nice recruit. Rivals has him as a 4 star. We need a couple more d-Linemen and OTs.</t>

Carlo is better than Toryan Smith right now. He'll make you forget Brian Smith before he's done.

I'm thinking of a couple of other freshman who made big impacts as Freshman and hope Manti can have a similar campaign.

Andy "Big Kat" Katzenmoyer of Ohio State

    and

    Derrick Johnson of Texas

    Both were outstanding as freshman.

While I'm not expecting a lot out him as a freshman LB, he'll probably be a standout on Special teams and a big contributor down the line.

    Backers...

<t>I liked the looks of the Jersey kid from the first time I saw him on the Rivals clip when he committed. How nice ND has them both as well as Motta.</t>

That's OK. One day when your kids are wearing his jersey, maybe George can get him to sign it for you :p
