Those kids that kick for Pat MacAfee in the pregame show are a hell of a lot better than these clowns. I hope they’re not getting NIL money.

Schmidt was signed as a Punter, he was rated the #1 punter by one service. But as a place kicker he wasn't in the top 25. The kid we brought in from UNC was a good kicker, but he's been battling a hip injury and it's killed his swing.

But never the less we should have a better kicking game.

ugh fake punt fail. This just hasn't been a well played game by the Irish.

Imagine if these kickers had to kick a 40 yd. FG to avoid a loss. They’re missing PATs under no pressure.

Well we down a punt on the 1 inch line and then pick off the BC QB on his first throw.

Game over Irish win 25-10 .

Falls in the category of a win is a win. Wasn't a great win that's for sure. Some great plays, including Love's 95 yd TD run and some of the long passes by CJ. Defense played well mostly but had several dumb personal fouls type of calls after they had made a huge play that gave BC the ball back with 15 yards.

Lot of coaching points for the staff.

U-u-u-ugly! But a W. Bad and kinda good news about Miami loss. Bad: Hurts our SOS. Kinda good (because no guarantee of playoffs): We should move ahead of them in the rankings.

The fake punt failed because #4 lined up in the backfield. That was was a flashing neon sign to BC that it was a fake. Even I could figure that out from my armchair. Dumb.

Ga.Tech and Vandy also top 10 losses along with Miami. Not sure how things will shake out in the rankings with the Irish. First CFP rankings come out Tues, they are usually pretty close to the AP rankings.

Can we sneak into the top 10? I won't be shocked if Vandy hangs on in the top 10. Miami and Ga.Tech likely to drop out of the top 10, Texas Tech might jump over us, will they slip Miami behind us even though they beat us in game 1?

How many times can you shoot yourself in the foot and still win? A lot I guess cause that’s what happened in this game. Of course it was against BC who has been terrible this season. Other than some great individuals performances(J.Love and CJ Carr) and a solid defense the only other good thing is that it’s a Win.

We can’t play like this for the remaining games.
Too many mistakes and stupid penalties against better teams will cost us.

on the bright side, I love the downfield passing of CJ and the receivers. Something we have been missing for a long time.

Irish #10 in both polls. As I thought might happen Texas Tech jumped us. But they play BYU this weekend so one of them will lose and assuming we beat Navy we will creep up a little more.

But the committee certainly could have a different view.
