Great 4th of July present for ND:

Notre Dame has landed one of its most important commitments in the 2026 cycle with Texas wide receiver Kaydon Finley pledging to the Fighting Irish. Notre Dame beat out Texas and Texas A&M among many others to land this Aledo (Texas) High School standout.

Big get for the Irish at a position we’ve struggled to get top rated recruits.

Irish pickup another WR in Devin Fitzgerald out of Arizona. Irish recruiting guru's are positive about the kid but he's a 3 star kid while Ohio State loads up on 5 star kids. The feeling is that we have to demonstrate that we have an elite passing game, unlike the offense we had with Riley Leonard, before we can get the elite WR's .

On the plus side though is this. Here's hoping that he develops into a player like his dad.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pounder is the son of future Pro Football Hall of Fame receiver Larry Fitzgerald.

Bad news for the Irish OL.

Notre Dame offensive lineman Charles Jagsuah will miss valuable time after suffering a broken arm in an off-campus accident over the weekend.

ATV accident in Wyoming. Those things are dangerous, especially how they are driven by most young people.

Lots of stories coming out about the accident that broke Charles Jagusah arm and how long it'll take to heal so he can play. One of them is that he wasn't riding an individual ATV, but instead in a UTV and wasn't driving, but his arm was in a position so that when the UTV rolled it was broken.

Good news is that the Irish OL has a lot of talent that wasn't going to be starting and we should have good replacement for him when camp starts in August.

Notre Dame had always been near the top of Nick Reddish’s list and in the end, that’s exactly where the Irish ended.

The 2026 North Carolina safety announced his commitment to the Irish on Friday evening.

“It was definitely the legacy,” Reddish told Irish Sports Daily prior to his announcement.

“That's definitely probably the biggest part of the school, the history behind it. I'm beyond blessed to have this whole journey unfold and see where it takes me.”

Irish currently sit at #4 in the 247 Composite, but we have 26 verbals while some of the power house programs below us have not hit 20 so when they fill up their classes we'll probably drop 4 or 5 slots.

    4 Top 50 players

Rodney Dunham Edge Rusher is #15 and a 5 Star
    Joey O'Brien DB is #30 and a 5 Star
Khary Adams DB is #36 and a 4 Star
Ian Premer TE is #43 and a 4 Star

One of the owners of a ND site has said though that these recruiting rankings are rigged. The owners want to have teams with big fanbases kept happy and joining their sites so they do what they can to make sure that their recruting looks great, keeps fans happy.

    Nice QB 2027 commit:
    Teddy Jarrard
‍ always seemed to have a clear vision of what he was looking for in a college program.

The 2027 Georgia quarterback never seemed to be in a rush, yet, he always seemed to be moving at a quick pace toward the end.

The end arrived on Thursday when Jarrard publicly announced his commitment to Marcus Freeman and Notre Dame.

Some are saying he's the best QB recruit since Jimmy Clawson. I don't follow this stuff like i used to and I really don't know much about him other than he's been rising fast this summer, 247 still has him as a 3 star but somebody said that he's been re-ranked to either a high 4 star or a 5 star and either the #2 QB or something like that. He does have a good recruiting cohort in Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State. But I don't know if he was a "priority' at those schools or just had an offer. Any way the guru's are all pretty excited about getting him. The key is always will he remain committed and sign or will he be looking around and find a situation where the NIL money is more.

Tim, I wish there were short notes for the emojis. I gave a "hopeful" thumbs up for the reason that Terry mentioned in the last sentence of his above post.

Read somewhere that he was the MVP of the Rivals 5 Star Camp which had some of the best 2026 and 27 QBs. Hopefully that means he's a real good signing.
