 Did I ever tell you guys I think you are great I cant wait to see you... Sid, Mike and Mary we know you will be there with us in spirit ... .I feel like I am going home to be with family.... Di
Bummer <r>I can't believe Carson and I won't be there. What ever will you do without your undefeated Lucky Charm??<br/> <br/> We will be with you there in spirit <E></E> <br/> <br/> Miss y'all!<br/> Desiree</r>
Stu, You may be right about Carson but after I read this line I felt a little better about the game. Seems our old friend J. Colletto has resurfaced in ucla land: UCLA offensive line coach Jim Colletto, who coached at Purdue and was a Notre Dame assistant, played fullback for the Bruins in both losses. He has filled Dorrell in on the South Bend experience 8)
If you had just kept it quiet, it would not have mattered. Now it will become BB material in the locker room. Everyone would know that Carson will not be there. ND will be the underdog by kickoff. Scott!!! Can I change my pick!?!?!?!?!?
Question for you guys.....I went last year but didn't get to do everything so I was wondering where a group of 4 guys should go this weekend. One Jersey guy, myself and 3 Massholes 1 a former volunteer pitcher for a year or two before leaving. We are staying at the econo lodge I believe at the airport??? The big thing really is game day, we arent hiking up all the cooking gear b/c my employer sucks and won't let me take it on the plane. Any advice on where to go or park on gameday would greatly be appreciated. Also important......Do you still need to get tix prior to the pep rally? THANKS!!!
NDFan77 You do need Tix to the pep rally. If you visit the und.com site there is information on where to get them and when they start giving them out. As far as parking you have a lot of options there is parking north of Campus in what is called White lot or White field I forget, they shuttle you to the campus. Also there is parking at St. Joes HS which is close to ND, there is parking in the neighborhoods east of the ND campus. The key is to get there before 9AM and then you'll have no problem finding a spot. You're certainly welcome to come to our tailgate, let me know. As far as things to do, there is stuff in downtown South Bend besides the Hall of Fame, a guy has mapped out a pub crawl that has gotten good reviews. They have a tent party as well in South Bend across from the Hall of Fame on Friday Night, music and all. Terry
ndfan, Read my above post for directions from the Econo Lodge to a parking spot as close as you can get to campus. You will need to get onto Mapquest and follow my directions.
well <t>i hate that i will not be there either. if i come into some more money before then, maybe. i'll really miss you guys this year.</t>
ND/UCLA <r>Corey,<br/> <br/> Sorry you guys are not going to make it this year. Brian is coming with me and came in from Phoenix yesterday. We were looking forward to seeing you. We haven't been to SB since 2003. Maybe next year. <E</E></r>
Word to the wise. Weather!! High for the weekend is going to be 53, low in the mid 30's... so pack your longjohns and there is a chance of rain so bring the rain gear!! Terry
Hey some of you may be on the road, but to those of you who are not let me say HAVE A GREAT TIME and give us a report. I hope one day to be able to attend one of your events. Maybe after I'm located in North Carolina.
From me as well... Have a great trip... make sure that JO'Co has a few misadventures to write about. Most of all, bring back the win so that my 13 points are safe! I would like to request a scheduled ND group meeting in advance. Maybe you can committ to having the ND get together at the Tenn/ND game the very next year it is scheduled or at a bowl game this year if we get to the same bowl game. I have to submit a request at least six months in advance to keep anything from being scheduled for me during that time frame. I already have time scheduled off from 16-Dec through 7-Jan that I requested back in May.
I don't think Tenn and ND are playing in the near future. But everybody says that ND is very possibly heading to the Sugar Bowl if the season finishes well. I don't know if we have to beat USC inorder for that to happen or not. I know that if we are in the top 8 we are guaranteed a BCS slot, below that we are in the at-large pool and for some reason I think all at-large bids have to go to teams with 9 wins, and a top 12 place in the final BCS poll. So if Tenn ends up in the Sugar Bowl it could happen! Terry
8) re: JO'Co misadventures In the past few weeks, I've already dodged a flight attendants strike and the bankruptcy of Northwest Airlines. All of my flights have been changed at the last minute, as they've been taken over by Delta...the same Delta that I vowed never to fly on again after Captain Dick Hatfield attempted to commit hari-kiri with me on board several years ago... What else could possibly go wrong? Just because I'm flying 2,400 miles and then driving another 150 miles with no tickets... What me worry? ....................El JO'Co
ND/UCLA <r>JO'Co,<br/> <br/> Everything will be O.K. this year. We'll find some tickets. Just don't leave your billfold in the rental car this time. <E></E> <br/> <br/> Tim</r>
Just another routine trip to South Bend for JO'Co!! Advice to the ticketless, bring cash. The scalpers love Charlie. Besure and read the stuff on und.com regarding fake tickets, there are some things you need to look for when buying from scalpers. Sorry couldn't come up with extra tickets, UCLA esp was very popular and as I said anticipation of a great year really made tickets scarce. I think they need to expand the stadium again. Terry
With a not so sunny forecast there might be some last minute deals. If I have a chance at 2 I'll post right away.
