Ok the new Political Forum is open for business. I moved political topics that had a post since Aug 1. You will see the titles of a lot of them on the Back Room but if you click on it you will be redirected to the Political Forum. Those redirects should disappear after one day, if not I now know how to get rid of them. So and political comment goes to the Political Board. If you see a topic you want moved from earlier let me know. Don't have it moved just to read, only if you want to comment. In the future political topics that are posted in the Back Room will either be moved or deleted. Please don't do that and help limit my work. I spent a lot of time today learning how to do this and don't relish new work. In the meantime use the Back Room as you always have except for the political comment. After I am confident this all worked I will deal with the other new Forum Tap Room.
Terry gets plenty of credit. I ran everything by him and he made many suggestions that I used. Yesterday I thought what I was doing did not work but it was just some delay in getting it in the system. He discoed that. Believe me without Terry I would not have made it. And I still consider him the lead Moderator and don't make moves without consulting him.
Ok a question. If we do not start a new forum but use the two we have now in this area would anyone object? We have had great cooperation in keeping politics out of the Back Room and I am not sure we need to start a new forum. Thoughts?
Bill, what would be the subject matter of a new forum? It seems to me that the Back Room encompasses everything non-politics. I don't think we need a new forum.
Sid, it would basically just be a name change. Sid and JO'Co thanks, that is what I am hoping to hear.
I don't think we'll be doing a new forum, as Sid noted the Backroom is now functioning like intended.
I hesitated to post until the professor, but agree no additional forums needed as yet. Good work admins!
