Somebody floated that Tampa Bay was interested in Brian Kelly, I hope he does what Harbaugh did and gets out in front and confirms he's not interested in leaving for the NFL. Of course more than a few coaches over the years have used these types of rumors to get extensions and raises out of their AD's. Bob Stoops to Fla and Bob Stoops to Notre Dame resulted in more money and a contract extension for Bob Stoops.
If he's leaving he needs to say so now or as you said confirm immediately that he's staying. We have a lot of talent coming back, more than enough for 10 wins. Don't need to rock the boat when it running smoothly.
Brandon Wimbush said his goodbye today, still no word on where he'll end up though. Click anywhere on the Big Blue rectangle below and when page loads and you read his post, be sure to also click through his pictures. Good Luck to him.
Julian Okwara is also coming back, no word on Boykin who is reportedly considering leaving and then there is Julian Love who probably should go as he's projected as a 1st rounder. Micah Dew-Treadway has announced he's graduated and will transfer. Good luck to Micah, he probably wasn't going to play much next year and never was much of a factor in his time at ND. He also left a very nice Instagram post. That's becoming the trend in college, when kids transfer whether it is a Grad transfer or a regular transfer most of them post a very nice goodbye on Instagram.
From what I read that NHL Hockey game between the Blackhawks and the Bruins at ND stadium was a big success, sellout crowd and all that. They have left the setup in tact and Notre Dame/Michigan will play on Sat afternoon. I'll be curious what the attendance will be for a college hockey game in that setup. I think Compton Family Ice Arena seats around 5K, even if all of those come and every Mich fan who would usually attend a game at home comes that'll only at most 15K. Actually surprised that 70K plus NHL Fans attended the game.
Irish Women's Basketball demolished Pitt last night 100-44. Muffet played everybody including the walk on players. They go to Georgia Tech this weekend. The men have Syracuse at home tomorrow at noon.
All - Pro team is out ... OG's are both ND guys . Q NELSON and Zach Martin . You would have one of the better OL if you had these ND grads LT Ronnie Stanley - Ravens LG Q Nelson - Colts C Nick Martin - Texans RG Zach Martin - Cowboys RT Mike McGlinchy - 49ners
Bye bye love! Not surprised, he's projected to the 1st round and it's unlikely that he could improve his draft prospects by comming back and could either get hurt or not play as well both of which could hurt his prospects Bryce Love is the classic example of it being a mistake to come back, although he has said that he would do it all over again as he wanted to finish his degree and he hopes to go to Medical School eventually
I'm glad to hear Rex will be back next year. But I am surprised that he's getting a redshirt for this year. I thought he's played too many games.
Myles Boykin reported to be leaving for the NFL Good luck to him , I can't imagine he'd be a 1st round pick but maybe a 1st day pick. Sort of opens things up for the young guys who have more speed. Irish Hockey lost to Michigan yesterday in the outdoor classic in ND Stadium . Irish women basketball handled Ga Tech easily . With the loss by UCONN to Baylor they could move back to #1. The big showdown with undefeated Louisville is Thursday night.
Good for him. I thank him for his service and I hope he achieved everything he could academically at Notre Dame. We need some help getting down to the official roster size anyway, so it is what it is.
Boykin leaving is good for him and fortunately for the Irish we have great depth here and more on the way. Hope he does well.
