Lynch back, whew.... I hope he's settled in now and we won't find out that he's just playing out the string and waiting till the semester is over and then transfering over the summer.

Irish schedule UMass...ugh. I know they are going Div1 and that Charlie Molinar is their new HC, with no guarantee he'll still be there in 2015

I guess we'll be looking at the Citadel next. :(

Lynch ...Gone. I'm starting to get a bad feeling about Kelly's future. Reports are that Tommy Rees is still #1 at QB, and that our savior Golson can't hit the broadside of a barn. Speculation is that Hendrix has the best chance to unseat Rees, but he hasn't done it yet.

Also Ishaq Williams went home last week to think things over...but according to Kelly came back committed.

Hard to believe that the Lynch defection is related to missing his girl friend. I recall 2 guys who left school because the yearned for thier girls and neither ended up marrying thier beloved. All the time and effort that the coaches wasted for that airhead.

Something is not right in South Bend. Not ready to blame Kelly yet but we are on a losing streak with personnel that will resonate for the next 3-4 years.

Well, if nothing else, this isn't one of those 'Charlie's guys' situations.. so that breaks up the monotony a bit.

    Sid hits the mark again...
You always hate to lose a player with that kind of talent, but if he doesn't fit in and picks fights with his teammates, and even challenges regular students to fight because they gave him "weird looks" then he's better off somewhere else. Notre Dame is a school where exceptional talent is not unusual; it's expected.

I get your point but it remains to be seen. Generally speaking, the loss of five five star players / prospects in the space of three months is not looked on as good news. 8)

Combine these developments with Tommy Rees continuing at this point as the clear leader at QB and John Goodman returning as punt returner and the probable replacement to Michael Floyd; and of course the news that our 37 YPK line drive rugby punter is the second strongest player on the roster and you almost bubble over with anticipation .
    8) 8)

Sid, did you get an email about applying for the ticket lottery online? I got one but I'm a little suspicious. :?:

Yes, Mike, I received the email. It looks to be legitimate, but I'm not sure I will use the online application. I don't know what they mean by "secure" check. If you can use a credit card, I might do it, but if I have to go through an inconvenient process to be able to send a "secure check", I probably won't bother.

One thing I wonder about is, how do they handle the refunds online? I'll need more information before I can feel comfortable with this method.

Rumors now about Louis Nix being ready to hop the train south. Same ole, same ole, misses girlfriend, warm weather, etc.
Although he's still at practice and hasn't left the team. So I expect he'll hang through the spring, but I wouldn't be shocked if he left this summer.
