8) Malik Zaire looks like a good one. So good that he could be poached, unlike those linemen who're life-long Irish fans... http://cleveland.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?pr_key=132420&sport=1 I found this on one of the Buckeye boards. Zaire was the MVP of the Ohio State camp as a sophomore. We'll have to watch Urban on this one... Written by John McCallister Tuesday, 27 September 2011 14:31 "At the Ohio State Summer Camp, coaches kept telling me to watch Malik Zaire, a young QB from Kettering Alter. Liked the potential that I saw in him. That was two years ago. Now, in his junior year, I had a chance to evaluate him last weekend. Again, liked the potential that I saw in him. ast year, as a sophomore, Malik alternated at QB for one of the best football programs, not only in the Dayton area, but throughout Ohio. The success of the program is their powerful running game. Not always good for a running QB, who can also pass as well. Last Saturday, Malik ran and passed, and did both very effectively. At 6'1-190, he patterns himself after Mike Vick. Honestly, he does a good job at it. Left-handed. Gets north/south quickly. Like his burst. Throws well on the run. Also understands coverage when throwing from the spread. Yes, Alter has added some spread to their offense. Like his high release, but wish he would improve his rpm's at times. Needs to improve follow-thru. Ball needs to spin more at times. All of the tools are there to be really good, just some need a little tweaking."
Alter HS is and was the arch rival of my old HS team, Dayton Carroll. Nick Mangold of the Jets played for Alter. They play in Div. 4 in Ohio now, the small schools. I will try to find out more about him.
He supposedly was really being recruited hard by Saban, but he wants to play QB doesn't want to be moved to defense and he was concerned that Alabama would move him to defense. Vibe coming out of this weekend is supposedly very good with just about every prospect that visited.
Good things keep happening....Rashad Kinlaw a DB from NJ called the staff today and committed. After Sheppard and Darby stiffed us last year we really need DB's this year badly. He's ranked #31 as an Athlete by Rivals. Definitely will start out on defense though. He's got good size 6'1" and 4.4 speed. 10. ATH Rashad Kinlaw (10th ranked player in the state of NJ) Absegami Kinlaw has been the heart and soul of the Gami offense over the past couple of years and defenses have known it. Opponents have keyed on Kinlaw week in and week out, yet he still found ways to reach daylight. Although he has played quarterback for the past two seasons, his future at the college level will be elsewhere. Kinlaw has top level speed and may be the fastest junior prospects in the state. His acceleration is second to none and he has next level quickness that makes him one of the more electrifying juniors in the state. In addition to playing quarterback, Kinlaw has thrived in limited action as a defensive back but could also translate into an excellent receiver at the college level as he is very dynamic with the ball in his hands. As much as he is a consideration for the defensive backfield, his offensive prowess cannot be discounted.

That looks pretty damn impressive to me. That first section of the film was against Centerville HS ( Herbstreit, AJ Hawk, Mike Nugent ). Kid throws darts.
Well we pickup David Robinson's son Corey Robinson a WR from San Antonio. I don't know much about this kid except he's tall 6'4". He's not ranked by Rivals, and he hasn't been playing football for that long. So I don't know what to think. I'm sure he's a very high character kid being David Robinsons kid though, I do wonder though if he'll be a project. Here's an article on him from maxpreps. Corey Robinson
