Another win last night, and it's on the road at a tough place to play. Brey has really done an excellent job of coaching this year, this team was dead after non-conf play, no Tim Abromatiis, no nothing. Now we have established an identity and are playing good defense and young players are stepping up.

At this point we'll finish in the top 1/2 of the BE even if we play .500 ball the rest of the way and certainly we can do better than that...I hope! :)

Jack Cooley had a great game.

Next up a struggleing Rutgers on Wed.

Close home loss for the Irish womens team vs West Virginia. I hope they don't pack on a few losses closing the season and lose their previously seeming lock on a #1 seed. We've got UConn at Storrs and then probably them again in the BE tourney.

Irish men whip Rutgers 71-53. Jack Cooley has 22 points and 18 rebounds. He's a monster! ND now tied for 2nd in BE at 10-3, 18-8 overall.

I noticed many seats available in the upper seating area.

Pretty amazing season for the Irish. Jack Cooley is really coming on strong. Just 2 years ago he was not physically fit enough to play more than 8-10 minutes a game.

Irish are definitely moving up and if we finish well there won't be any doubt. In fact it's not impossible that we'll finish at #2 in the Big East. The team is so much better now than it was in Dec it's hardly the same team. I have no expectations that we'll make the final 4 but a win or two in the NCAA's would be nice!! :)

Wow...Irish come from 20pts back and win in OT on the road at Villanova. Great game..once we got rolling of course! :)

Pat Connaughton 7 of 12 from 3pts land. He and Jerian Grant were money when we needed them at the end of the game.

    Go Irish!

They were so far behind that I wrote them off and went on the computer, but Mrs. JO'Co stayed loyal and watched the whole thing. I wondered what she was screaming about!

Another good win tonight by the Irish. They "burned" West Virgina on Ash Wed...pun intended! :)

Scott Martin was on fire tonight and Jack Cooley turned in another great performance. Both Atkins and Grant outstanding. I was nice to see Huggins sweat over there on the bench!

I have to say that on HDTV both Digger and Bobby Knight look like they had small pox recently and could have used a better makeup artist before the game.

I have no idea who Luke Winn is. He writes for SI.com and publishes periodic power rankings of college BB teams. In his most recent power rankings, released today, he ranks ND #9.

Irish played St. John's in the Garden today. Dress rehersal for the Big East Tourney. They lost.

Yeah I guess we can call it big Monday since the Men play highly ranked Georgetown and the women play UConn at UConn. Geno has made a number of disparaging remarks about ND this season I hope we whip their asses really bad.

As far as the St. Johns game, we were on a 9 game winning streak with a big game vs GTown coming up so this was a classic trap game and even though we only hit 4/31 from 3pt we had a shot at the end to take it to OT. Had to lose sometime, we are a good team but not so good as to have run off a really long win streak, had to lose sometime.
