First off Pioli said no to the Giants. So Charlie won't be asked to leave by a close friend. I also spoke with Weis brother one day recently and he isn't going anywhere. I had to ask, kind of jokingly said something and he said he wasn't going anywhere.

Side note.....Anyone watch Donald commit to Tenn? To me he didn't seem to happy......Possible change of mind???? Well at least I hope

I read Charlie's book about a month ago and agree with you totally. other than being fired, the earliest you will see him leave ND is after his son graduates from ND. Other than that, he ain't goin no place! Now as for Minter......well. <br/>

It's being reported now by Pete Sampson and others that Charlie has been working the phones since the end of the season looking for a new DC. That he has contacted Walker at UCLA, Randy Shannon at Miami, and Jim Bates (don't know where he's from). Was turned down by all three.

While the Irish Defense was bad this season, I'm sure it wasn't helped in Bowl prep, by the defensive coaching staff knowing that they were fired, well maybe not all of them but Minter for sure.

Some how I don't see Joe Kinnes and Charlie being able to work together.

Alabama DCoord under Mike Shula...Bama had some really good defenses with him. He's been around a long time in Southern Football. He was at Georgia, but I don't think Tailback thought all that much of him, he was a head coach at Arkansas.

I just don't see an old line Southern coach like him getting along with a New Joisey hot shot.
