Notre Dame should have stepped aside for more deserving teams? Just turn their backs on a BCS share so some state school that nobody cares about outside its own borders can lap the money up.

    Go fish!

I didn't see a team that didn't win its conference step aside from playing in a NC game. When crap like that occurs with conference teams call me. I'll change my mind.
In the interim, I hope you don't believe the BS you're posting. Maybe you belong hanging with idiots.

<t>as previous articles supported by empirical data have shown, the notion that 'ND is overrated' is simply not true.

the 'case' that ND is overrated is the only one that could possibly lend backbone to your theory that ND has an easier road to a BCS game, because ND must win and maintain a minimum ranking standard in order to be eligible for a BCS game.

Thus, your theory holds no water.

Games which, might I remind you, aren't really about the best teams to start with.. They are high paying bowl games. Anything after the 1 vs 2 matchup is for sheer entertainment value only.

Might I remind you, for all the ballyhoo being made of ND losing to GTech that no one seemed to want to talk about Arkansas playing for the SEC title last year (and were THIS close to a BCS birth) were no better than USC's prep team...and honestly, probably weren't that good either.

Articles and statements such as that claiming ND has an easier road to the BCS are just made out of blind ignorance and hatred for ND. There can be no other explanation. You (or whoever writes that) is either simply an ND hater, or just ignorant to the rules of the BCS. Maybe both.

Like I said earlier (either in this section or another, I can't remember)..I watched ESPN all day and was amazed by how little factual content there was presented. It was all conjecture at best, most of it just flat out lies. Guys (and gals) shooting their mouths off at the hip and every single 'fact' they presented could be shot down with about 10 seconds of google research... That's pathetic. Its not journalism.
Corey....the overrated analysis that was recently presented by CFN took into account preseason rankings vs. post season finish.

Most years in the last 15 ( last year excepted) ND has not started out as overrated in the preseason but let the Irish get a couple of wins and they always without exception zoom up the rankings faster than anyone else by far.

That is what sets the Irish up to be overrated heading into their bowl games.

Now if the Irish would win some of those bowl games then this debate would not be valid.

Gotta chuckle at this bit of tid:

FSU has won 8 of their last 19 football games.

Kentucky has won 8 of their last 12 football games.

And FSU's pretty fast, save on the o-line. 8)
