The new Ted Bundy movie starring Zac Efron on Netflix is really good. The movie received a lot of push back from the critics because Efron is so handsome (and he does a great, great job with the role) that it was seen "romanticizing" Bundy. IMHO, this is just PC gone wrong and off base again. Bundy was that handsome, he was that charming and he had a magnetic personality that women were drawn toward. He was also an unspeakable monster. I thought Efron really nailed the role. It's worth a watch, and it's an interesting perspective.
Ultimately Bundy wasn't very smart cause he pulled his sick act in the state of Florida.... and subesequently got his ass fried....
On HBO, there is a movie called "Tag" that I just laughed all the way through. Then at the end of the movie, I was shocked to find out that it's based on a true story. That actually made the movie even more funny in hindsight.
I saw Peter Jackson's WW1 documentary ' They Shall Not Grow Old' two months ago at a local movie theatre and would highly recommend seeing this remarkable film. Attached in a link that explains the concept of this film and the brillant technical work involved in creating this amazing film: They Shall Not Grow Old
Bobda, I finally got to see that documentary and it was amazing. Thank you! All, If you haven't seen the HBO series, "Our Boys", I would highly recommend it. Very good acting. It's all subtitled, but the acting is that strong.
I "rented" (Spectrum on Demand) They Shall not Grow Old on your recommendation and the first part was really good...then I fell asleep. I intended to go back and watch it again..but my temporary rental ran out. I'll try to catch it again.
IF you finished Breaking Bad, and you loved Breaking Bad, then you will love El Camino that was just released this morning on Netflix. Vince Gilligan is in a class all by himself as a story teller.
I think it could have 'done more' but at the same time, I think you've gotta remember that they need to leave room for Better Call Saul which comes back next year.
