Bob, we were VERY worried about the sectional initially, but he really only likes stuff he can carry around.
He can be like a big baby with his pacifier... running around with various toys in his mouth almost all the time. My wife won't stop buying them. Now there are toys all over the house and the 2 acres!.

And in case anyone is wondering - the sectional and chair in background are covered in blankets to protect them from the daughter's cats.

Those are indeed senior boots... from Tonya's grandfather: Fightin' Texas Aggie class of 1933.

Seriously how can someone consider that "pet" comforting? At any time, in a flash, it could take your arm off....or worse. Oh wait. It's "trained". Huh?

More on "Life with Elsa". 7 months, 70 pounds but mercifully the growth trajectory is slowing. Still full of attitude and piss and vinegar, full of life and fun. Favorite activity....see below. Not quite as excited about bath time after the party is over

My wife's family owns some large tracts of land west of Dallas/Fort Worht that is leased for cattle but has been more or less allowed to go back to wild the last 40 years.
We built our forever home on a corner of this land and have been here since December.
Last night we took a walk through the middle of it since the weather is so nice.
Ran into this fella who while not exactly "our friend", he did have the courtesy to warn us of his presence...
Gotta always be aware when you're out in the country!

Whoa! Do I assume correctly that the warning was his rattler? You're pretty close taking that photo. Did you scurry away or back up slowly?

Believe it or not... rattlesnakes are one of the easiest vipers not to get cross with. They rattle, and almost always try to get away from you if you allow it. He was on the side of the old road we were walking, and warned us... so we slowly went around and I took the photo from about 15 feet.
Copperheads are not always so kind and gracious, and water moccasins are downright aggressive - they will come after you!

I never knew that Arctic wolves had R&B in their DNA.
