I love his enthusiasm. Everything New England is roses.......until it isn't and he goes silent. In a weird way, I hope his Celtics and Red Sox enjoy success, so we'll continue to feel his joy. If things turn south, we'll miss him until it's time for his annual prediction of a Patriots' NFL championship. Love ya, Joel.
And we have our first Mgr firing of the season. I'm always surprised when a guy like Price who hasn't had a great run in Cincy, gets fired 18 games into the season, why didn't they fire him after last season.
ok Sid my good man!! Don't forget the Boston Bruins!!We have a foursome running this year!!
Joel...hows the weather up there, still have snow on the ground? Don't have 4 teams bidding for Championships...but Spring has arrived in Texas!
Of the teams who started 15-2 or 16-1 only the '84 Tigers and the '55 Dodgers won the WS. Just trying to keep Joel real!
So everybody is talking about Cespedes HR last night for the Mets. It's the highest ball hit for a hr in MLB so far this season...isn't amazing what stat's that they track these days... But a shoulder high fast ball...why is that so big a deal isn't that an easier pitch to hit? https://twitter.com/statcast/status/986791480147763201/video/1
It's just the way I've been looking at the game my entire life, but I'll talk about anything anyone wants to talk about, even how high a pitch was that was hit for a HR. Is it important? Heck no. But when you're sitting in your seat on a warm day or night, watching America's greatest game (IMO), there's a lot about what's happening on the field that's fun to talk about. even if in the grand scheme of things it's unimportant. I love baseball.
I saw Harper play in a Single A game here when he had a cup of coffee at that level. I had no idea who he was that day but he had a swagger about him that spelled trouble from here to Cooperstown.
well well The world famous Krebber has surfaced..( or should we say THE THIRD PLACE KREBBER!!!) Good to see you again my friend!
On this day in 2017 the Orioles, the Tigers and the Astros occupied 1st place in their divisions. Only the Astros held on to finish in 1st. rSox were mired in 3rd place. 8)
Cards are waking up in the NLC, getting healthy? I wonder if the Cubs will get it together and make a run this year. Seems like a lot of people thought their off season moves were really very good.
Astros get their first look at Japanese phenom Ohtani tonight on the mound. He'll go against World Series hero Charlie Morton who has had a great start to the season so far. He's 3-0 with a .72 ERA. Astros got another great start from Cole last night but the Angels got an even better one from Tyler Skaggs and he shut us out. It should be a dogfight all season between the Astros and the Angels in the West, if Mike Trout stays healthy all season.
