Baseball is a funny game. Boston hammered the Yankees last night. They had 11 hits to the Yankees 10. Both teams struck out 10 times. Boston scored 14 runs. New York 1.
Judge had 3 of your 10. It didn't help that a lot of Boston's 14 were banging off the wall between center and the gap. Your starter was wasting anything that wasn't a fastball, which is problematic. Should be a good game tonight. I still love that Yankee lineup.
Now we're playing baseball ! When Judge, Stanton and Sabathia hit that pile it moved 30 feet toward the Red Sox dugout.
I see that the rSox catcher put his mask back on when he saw Austin start for the mound!
George...you remember this fight? It was a good one! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ZKIHNsf8O_A" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media"></iframe>
8) As Tod Jeffers used to say, "There's a lot of love in this room." <iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/m7liEpuvEc8" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media"></iframe>
All the pre-season favorites are struggling a little. Astros, Yankee's and Dodgers were the top 3 teams...not at the moment. rSox, Angels, Dbacks are the early leaders.
How smart is Keith Hernandez, former Met and now a broadcaster. He apparently bragged on the air that the local police allow him to speed with immunity on his way home from games. http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2018/04/16/keith-hernandez-speeds-from-work-to-his-long-island-home-and-police-dont-blink-eye-says.html
In Ohio you might get 9 over the limit. Get to 10 and it's a crap shoot. And they are everywhere...I swear the Ohio Patrol cars are the only vehicles in the world that actually breed. They do a great job...but the sad part is that I think we have as many aggressive crazy drivers on the road as anywhere else. You'd think the visibility of the troopers would slow them down.
It was always interesting driving from Michigan into Ohio to notice the dramatic change in traffic speed once you crossed the state line. In Michigan, pretty common to see drivers going 80 mph and higher in the passing lanes. On Ohio freeways, people may drive a little higher than the posted speed limit but you don't feel like you are on a NSACAR track as you do in Michigan. Wisconsin is similar to Ohio except at night. Then you can safely assume that 50% of the Cheeseheads on the road would fail a breathalyzer test if stopped. Illinois drivers are even shittier than Michigan drivers.
I just drove from the Shore to Dayton, Ohio in February for a funeral. 600 miles in 9 hrs and 15 mns. Crossed three states and a sliver of WV. Saw no cops in PA which is strange. Ohio was carpeted. I was doing 75-80mph most of the way through Ohio on I-70. My son the trooper says the triggers to get stopped are, in order, driving alone in the left lane for no apparent reason, frequent lane changes and finally speeds over 79 mph.
I don't know what the limit is in Texas. Around town I try to stay at +5mph and on the freeway's certainly less than +10. If I passed a cop on the freeway going 75 in a 65 I would expect though that I'd be pulled over. So for the most part 70 would be my upper limit. On the Interstates there are sections where 75 is the limit and most do 80.
