Stu a number of expert ND fans who have watched those games over and over confirm that the DL has been held a number of times, apparently the one eyed ref was assigned to the B10 crews who do ND games. :)

Double Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I for one would love it if ND was in the big 10/11 honest! If Stanton is off his game...ND wins. If he's on....MSU wins. Myself...I'm rooting for ND this time!!

Rootin' for ND! Finally and Independent thinker amongst the conference bretheren....not spoutin' the company line! Maybe it's switching to Red!! :)

I have to admit, I have liked the way Stanton plays the game, he's a passionate player. I believe he even returned punts when he wasn't the starter at QB. I've seen some games where he just seemed like superman, the first half last at Ohio State and there was a game at UM where he was single handedly beating UM and then got injured.

I'm hoping that our DL can get to him and force him to throw some picks.

    Terry

Hopefully the MSU offensive line can, uh, hold them off.

    Cindy,

Welcome back! Glad to see another Wolverine on board.

However, I regret to bring to your attention that your last post violates The Skybox Rules of Conduct for Big 10 Fans, specifically 11.2, subpart d, which reads as follows:

When a conference team plays against Notre Dame, the fans of other conference members shall firmly state their desire is that the conference competitor will heretofore annihilate and obliterate Notre Dame.

This rule dovetails with Rule 87.1, subpart e, which forbids a Big Ten referee officiating a Notre Dame game to call a holding penalty against a conference member or any other competing team situated in the United States. You also need to consult footnote 7 of Rule 36 which states that a fan of a conference team shall only cheer for Notre Dame if Notre Dame is playing a team from a rouge Islamic state. However, footnote 12 of the same Rule clarifies the meaning and scope of footnote 7 by observing that the binding effect of footnote 7 extends only to leap years.

I would please ask that your future postings about the subject of Notre Dame stay within the confines of these guidelines.

Boda....you forgot rule #999.99 footnote 13 1/2 which states: Whenever an independent school (IE: ND) plays such teams as MSU and/or Ohio State...fans of the big 10/11 shall be forthwith, witty, and mad as hell, and favor the independent school (IE:ND) and cheer for beer..a..er ND. Now footnote 13 3/4 states: Any independent school taking advantage of said footnote 13 1/2 and wanting to become a BIG Ten / Eleven member is SOL. I will in the future...stay within the confines of these guidelines. But ya gotta love ND's fight song don't ya??

Pretty much all of the online Irish beat writers (Irish Eyes,NDNation, etc) are picking the Spartans to beat the Irish in a close game.

I'm more bold I think we will win easily and the B10 refs will finally call holding on an Irish opponent.

    Go Irish.

Supposedly raining very hard in E. Lansing. I don't know if that's good or bad, I think they have field turf there so footing and all that should be ok..won't be a mud wrestling contest. But Brady will be throwing a wet football.

    Go Irish.

Quinn is not looking sharp at all tonight. MSU is looking like they were the ones disrespected at the end of last year's game. CW better get a handle on this quickly!

At the end of the 1st qtr:

    ND 0
    MSU 17

Well we finally got on the board. Defense is going to have to play really if we are going to crawl back into this game.

Wow it heated up fast. IMHO #18 did not hit Stanton out of bounds, and when you have that many Mich State guys who go into the Irish bench trouble is sure to follow. #6 clearly went after ND players...he should have never been over there in the first place.

but as I type MSU just picked off Quinn and took it in for a TD. Sigh.

Not much life, MSU gets the ball to start the 2nd half and we've barely slowed them down. Could be 38-14 before we get the ball back.

Quinn is playing himself into a 3rd round draft choice.
