Not suprised, he did a good job at Temple and he's always been known to be an excellent recruiter while at Penn State and at UVA. He knows the East Coast from Boston to Miam...so he should be able to do well, of course at Miami he won't have to leave South Fla for very many players.
UM coach Al Golden gets four-year contract extension http://www.miamiherald.com/2011/11/25/2518832/um-coach-al-golden-gets-four-year.html Well after yet another miserable year finishing up today with a loss to Boston College and the prophets claiming Al Golden will go to Penn St, Miami extended his existing contract.... By the way so much for the #1 recruiting class in the country four years ago. They never came close to proving that title is nothing but an excuse to sell magazines in the off-season...
I like Al. I think he's going to do well there. There's always been a buzz about the guy. I was surprised he left Penn State after 2000 when it seemed like there was opportunity around the corner. He's made his name as his own man. Good on him.
