MCG, If you remember back before the season I questioned Brantley's fit for the offense and your running backs. You didn't think anything could go wrong, Brantley was da man!

    Terry,

It worked well during Chris Leak's second season with Meyer ( NC in 2006 ) and I thought Meyer had learned something.

This season UF's offense was much like Meyer's first at UF....except maybe worse because Brantley isn't quite the runner that even Chris Leak was.

I will say that in spite of all else losing the FG kicker ( two 3 point losses ) and losing Demps ( best offensive weapon and a Brantley pressure reducer ) was more than this questionable Florida offense could stand.

I think the load that Tebow took off your smurf running backs was too much for them to absorb after he was gone and why you have had injury problems. Plus E. Moody was/is a bust. That's why Meyer had to go to Burton and eventually Reed. I mean the culmunation was the FSU game when you had a 3 QB rotation, with Brantley only going in on passing downs. That had to tell him that he had no future at UF. Probably pretty hard to take for a Gator legacy.

Moody was no Tebow inside that's for sure.

The Demps injury was more of a freak foot injury than any abuse or misuse.

It happened vs. Tenn in mid-Sept. and he has essentially been done for the year. Chris "Time to Die" Rainey has been another big problem. Out because of the threat he made and then while out he learned how to fumble at very inopportune times.

The whole season offensively has been a circus.

Is Driskel going to be an early entry? It would be perfect situation for him, neither Burton or Reed seem to have the whole package and Driskel is the #1 QB recruit and seems to have the whole package. He's not listed as a dual threat QB, but he does have good running stats and he should be a much better passer than either Burton or Reed.
