As Sid said, that was a powerful ramble Stu!

We sure understand about the Christmas rituals changing. Our move to North Carolina marks the first time we have not lived in a city with at least one of our 5 kids, and eight grandchildren. Last year we were here even though we hadn't moved permanently and most of our family was here with us for Christmas.

This year we moved and they can't come here every year, but one of our kids moved to Tennessee about 2 hours from here, he's the father of our two oldest grandchildren. Anyway we had plans to be there for Christmas eve and Christmas and his two boys were up from Florida, drove up themselves.

Then alas my accident intervened and I will not be doing any traveling, other than to the doctor, for several months so here we sit today without any of our kids.

That doesn't mean the news is bad though, they will be coming here Thursday and we will celebrate Christmas then, and there is always the phone today.

I guess what I didn't mention is that we have relatives here in Franklin also. My wife comes from a family of 6 kids, one boy and five girls. Four of the girls live here in Franklin, two of the others are very close to us both physically and they are all close family. So we are not alone, we will see some of them later today.

Regardless, great note both you guys and have a very Merry Christmas.

    Bill,

You are fortunate to have family close to you at this time, and it sounds like your 5 kids are with you in spirit if not in person. Merry Christmas to you and all your loved ones......and the dog. :)

No white Christmas Terry except when the wife took the dog out, that's her job now, a few minutes ago it was snowing. I doubt enough to hold but snowing anyway.
