It would appear the golf course Mastered the players yesterday. Will be cool and breezy today, should make for an interesting Saturday at the Masters.

Ah Stu captured the whole whether or not to concede a putt in a picture!!

It was tough watching DeChambeau blow the 18th hole and slip back to even after playing so well for 17 holes. Phil was a terrible manager of the course yesterday, couldn't putt and hit a couple of balls in the water. Won't be playing the weekend.

Spieth and Rorytoday is great drama and should make sure he TV ratings will be high this afternoon.

Today (Sunday) looks to be very interesting. Conditions should be better. Who will come through?

Danny Willett, who would have thought. I'll give Spieth credit after that blow up he settled back down and had a legitimate chance till he missed the birdie on 16,and then hit it in the bunker on 17.

Danny can sit at the Champions Dinner with Larry Mize and Trevor Immelman in the "how are we here" corner. From tee to green is there anyone more impressive than Dustin Johnson? Dustin is the Tin Man on tour....if he only had a brain...and a putter.
I'm sure that the last thing that Jordan Spieth wanted to do was be at the ceremony in Butler cabin. He really looked uncomfortable.

Yeah I'm sure he'd have preferred not to have to give away the Green Jacket...but that's what pro's do, they have the game in the bag and do something to blow it in any sport. Then they have to face the press who asks them why they did it.

3 Masters, 1 win and 2 second place finishes. Not too bad.

Personally I could hardly believe what I was watching on TV. To see a young man falter like that was troublesome for me to watch. I hope Jordan does not read all of this crap that is being published this morning. Danny Willett deserved the win, but Jordan Seith does not deserve what is being printed about him this morning.

Spieth needs to fire his caddie today, and then hire Stevie Williams.

Naturally a lot of second guessing. Why didn't he go to the drop zone, why didn't he just re-tee and blast it into the back trap, why after talking with his caddie about hitting a draw 20ft left, he changed and hit a cut.... So many questions.

I've always heard the veterans say that you aim to take it over the bunker and don't shoot at the flag. Either he was pin hunting or he really hit a bad shot. And that's why golf is like AIDS. One bad hole can kill ya.

    Vegas vs Actual Finish.
Out of that bunch, they correctly picked Spieth to finish 2nd, and both Rory and Dustin finished in the top 10.

DeChambeau looked so good up until the 18th hole on Friday when he took triple. After that he struggled and ended up a pretty respectable 21st though. Same for Smylie Kaufmann, looking good after finishing Sat and then crash on Sun, which nobody noticed since everybody was watching Spieth. He ended up again a respectable 29th in his first Masters. Not bad, but you have to figure the pressure and inexperience got to both these young players.

BTW is anybody considering getting fitted for his single length set of Irons? He claims that he has a fitting system that will make them work, the old single length sets were same heads all fitted on a 6 or 7 iron shaft. He supposedly has a system that makes each head/shaft combo unique and fitted to the player, although again they will all be the same length, a 6 iron.

That says all that needs to be said. He showed his human-ness. End of story.....except for the tendency to analyze what he could have done differently, which is normal and OK and part of why we follow all sports.

I suspect we'll hear from him again at future Masters.
