So Tom.....other than your general and very broad rhetorical answer....
...seriously.....have you looked at those comparative stats I listed?

I do agree all involved so far have gone in different directions and what we know is that Sanchez was a complete and utter disaster while Manning was a great regular season Qb for the Broncos but essentially contributed mightily to the loss in the first playoff game.

Those are the on field facts of Tebow's competition vs. Tebow's on-the-field facts/stats.

And yet....he is on the **** list for many NFL GMs right now.

As detailed as those guys are you would think on the field performance in live NFL games means more than tossing it around in shorts under the highschool lights.....but it doesn't seem so in this case.

And the thing is.....the Jets coaching staff look like complete fools to anyone with half a brain but others buy their crap that"if you think Sanchez is bad you should have seen Tebow"....yada yada...

Well....I've got news for the assholes.....I saw Tebow for many games.....and he has the career wins at Denver and the on field stats to completely disprove their "Sanchez was the best option" theory.

    That theory was utter ********.

Perhaps you should bring it to their attention that they are clearly looking at things the wrong way .....

BT.....apparently tossing it around in shorts means everything.

John Elway's own on field the performance the first two years of his career didn't compare favorably with Tebow's but of course the guy could zing it while in shorts.....so that was everything I guess.

Seriously.....that is obviosly some of what is at work here.

Otherwise.....it's kind of mystery except for what I said about the Jets coaching staff.....they were just plain inept and at times that was the worst offense I have seen in the NFL in many years.

You going to post the efficiency of the offensive lines for Elway vs Timmy? What about the strength of the line and linebackers faced?

It is very easy to look at 2 dimensional facts and draw conclusions. I'm sure that in the history of the NFL, we could locate plenty of QBs that had good stats the first year or two and then flopped. The fact is, it does not matter.

Tebo's style is not NFL. He can come in and run a few plays that the defense is not expecting and possibly have short term success. To do that for 60 minutes per game all season long is a different story. Is that not something that has a ring of truth to you?[/u][/b]

Denver was 1-4 when Tebow took over......the OL must not have been all great for Kyle Orton.

OK so what is your conspiracy theory on why NFL GM's are not seeing what you see in Tebow?

So, how good/bad was Orton... That being an unknown variable, I would say that the line was pretty dang good to turn around with just a QB replacement. So, that statement tells us nothing.

I don't have an answer as to why his actual accomplishments on the field mean so little while the assessment of the inept ( at best ) NY Jet's coaching staff seems to be the NFL gospel on TT.

On the OL.... the 2011 Broncos led the league in rushing with 2632 yards and a 4.8 YPC vs. in 2012 they rushed for 1832 yards and only 3.8 YPC. Tebow was such a producer as a runner that not only did he gain a crapload of yards and score TDs he also made the other runners better because he was such an extra threat to run the ball.

Tebow made that entire team better than that 1-4 bunch of losers they were and most importantly... as the writer from Aspen alludes to..... he personally changed the Broncos into a team of winners that was able to beat the Steelers in the playoffs.

By the time Manning arrived winning was more than a hoped for outcome in Denver....it was expected.

Elway has said that if Manning were not available he would have given Tebow a chance to continue his development.

Somehow Tebow needs to escape the stigma that the Jets have tagged him with and get a chance to move on.

So your position is that all NFL management teams are conspiring against Tebow? NO ONE is falling over themselves to pick him up. Why do think that is?

AJ.....Eric never had close to the same NFL production at Qb as did Tebow.

That's the disconnect here with his present situation.

More is being made by NFL types around the league on what the dumb ass Rex Ryan thinks than on what Tebow actually was able to do on the field.

His numbers don't lie and when he could produce so much more in his first 16 NFL games than either John Elway or Peyton Manning did in theirs it's just weird to see everyone go off the Jets evaluation of his skills instead.

    Back at ya BT......

I think the NFL off season will tell if there are any NFL GM/coaches who might just place some value in Tebow's Denver experiences.

If by September there are no takers......he's probably done unless he has a CFL rebirth etc. later on.

And just so you understand BT......there are about 300,000 fans in the Gator Nation who feel the same as I do about the Tebow-Manning situation...(minus about two on this board.)

Here is a post from a Gator message board on a basketball topic:

"At this moment in time, I would say yes....but, January basketball is like Peyton Manning's passing stats in October....it only matters how we play in the tournaments."

Imagine that... a gator board that would praise Tebow and spit on Manning. Who would have every seen that coming?

....this must be the part in the movie when you begin to argue with yourself. Think I'll step out for some popcorn, we've seen this movie before and know how it's gonna end..... 8)

I still agree with all of that BT.

Manning amazed me even in the loss to Baltimore with some of his throws even though he did have critical ints in that game that ultimately lost the game in OT.

I think a guy like that was too hard for Elway to pass up.

You can't really fault Elway.....although next year is critical to how the move will ultimately be judged by Denver fans.....Peyton will be under tremendous pressure to advance in the playoffs.

You can't fault Elway....but it doesn't mean it's going to work out like he planned.

You can however fault the New York Jets for being offensive assholes.

I would have loved not to watch such ugliness except that I thought Tebow might get a shot.

To say that Sanchez with his pitiful play was a better option than Tebow was/is preoposterous......and don't comment if you truly didn't see Sanchez play cause you had to see it to believe it.

For a refresher.....here is a "run" by the great Sanchez which ends in the comical "butt fumble":
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEI03oOE6is

Since when are us regular fans not allowed to question our NFL coaches???

Believe me....it happens in every NFL city every week even in winning towns.....much less when you have to live with such a debacle as the Jets!

And dumping Tebow for a 4th and 6th round picks was to hard to pass up. So both the idiot who signed him as a 1st rounder and the idiot who traded lower picks for him are gone. No surprise. He's a career killer.

I think the owner and coach are Sanchez men..... and Ryan convinced the owner that Sanchez was all screwed up because of Tebow.

That is only reason I can see that they so stubbornly stuck with one of the worst performers at Qb I have ever seen play in the NFL.

Ugly wasn't the word for it.....it was laughable..... as the "butt fumble" so aptly illustrates.....

Rex Ryan....the judge of NFL Qb talent.......

Was previously the defensive coordinator for the Ravens.

    An offensive genius that guy.....
