Todays game with the Maize & Blue will end our season one way or the other. Hopefully it will be in our favor, but its almost impossible to predict these games with any success. Season records never seem to impress the opposition. It will be dry and crisp in the Shoe today! Great day for college football. GO BUCKS!
Yes son, those are THE Ohio State Buckeyes....... http://www.freefantasyfootballpicks.com/2011/11/michigan-punters-terror-face-is-awesome.html

Ouch....senior two time captain, great dlineman and emotional leader of this team, John Simon, OUT......breaks my heart for that kid. That is a game changer.....
Another epic struggle for both squads. Most of the offense in the first half and defensive struggle in the second half. I was really worried about this game, but we managed to hold the Wolverines in the second half and that was the difference in the game. I can rest well this evening.
BT, Don, Stu, Congrats on the win and an undefeated season. Beating an improving Wisky team in Madison and a solid Michigan team back to back was an impressive way to close out a season. The depressing thing about this is not only the loss but the knowledge that the Buckeyes are going to be just as formidable if not more so next year. Strange game: both teams moving up and down the field the first half; defensive slugfest the second. I was surprised that Borges did not use Robinson and Gardner together more in the second half and felt that were it not for our defense, this game would not have been close as it looked as if the Buckeyes were ready to pull away in the 4th quarter. With Urban guiding the ship, fun years ahead for Buckeye fans.
Felt sick for him, but the team awarded him the game ball....great effort by the defense in the second half. I think I read that almost 2/3 of their total offense for the game came on three plays,,,, Hats off to the M defense for several gritty stops deep in the red zone in the 2nd half. We had a chance to put the game away and they stepped up big time. Gutty effort in a very hard fought football game when neither team had their best on the field.... As is usually the case, the team that controls the LOS is going to win and I think we won the battle in the trenches even without Simon particularly in the second half ....the Oline was firing strong and Hyde was running hard and created alot of opportunities in the passing game.... Pretty good job by Coach Meyer in his first season keeping this team together and motivated in a difficult year and it is fair to say we are only going to get better from here as he begins to recruit his players to fit his system.....
I was wondering the same Bobda....thought maybe after the fumble they became increasingly concerned about ball security or perhaps the shot he took on his TD run took a toll but to be certain, he is one helluva dynamic football player and a threat every time he touches the ball...not going to miss seeing him a bit
Agree BT, Miller was Miller but Hyde and the OSU o-line also had big time games today. The problem with not playing G and R at the same time was that we became predictable--if R was behind the center OSU stacked against the run ; when G came in the play was likely to be a pass or Smith getting plastered after a 2 yard run. I thought Borges might use formations that would have allowed a direct snap to either R or G to keep the defense off balance.
Thanks, Bobda...tough hard fought game. The bad part for us was the loss of Simon but I think losing Denard's arm was a bigger loss for you. G is a very good quarterback but losing the threat of R's throwing when he was in let us play run on him every time. Your defense had many great stands in the second half.
Excellent game, M fought hard and gave Ohio all they wanted. I think this game going forward will be more competitive than the Tressel years. Much talent on the way through recruiting for M and Hoke seems to be a mentally tough coach who's teams play reflect that. Congrats to the Buckeyes on an undefeated season. In every other year it would have been ND vs OSU for the national title...even though both of us would be 3 loss teams in the SEC.
