Ohio State just looks like they are way too much for Michigan, or a lot of teams, to handle..

Prophetic Bobda! Buckeyes proved today that they belong at #1 right now. Best and most complete team. Urban Meyer says all 22 starters are NFL players

Well there wasn't much doubt as to who was the better team. Ohio State deserves that number 1 ranking.

I am on the road traveling so this will be a short note. Congrats to Don, Stu, George and Terry. This Buckeye offense is the best Buckeye offense I have ever seen and I have seen too many good ones already.

Do you Buckeyes think that right now this team is the best team in your lifetime? That's what a lot of people are saying.

Thanks Bobda, Terry, I am inclined to say yes after the victory today. Dobbins has really stepped us this season as well as Fields. Good offense and a very solid defense wins a lot of games.

Don I would have wondered if that John Cooper basketball on grass team that Nick Saban and mediocre MSU team upset in Columbus would have been close.

:( In defense of Cooper, his record against M is better than the combined record of RichRod, Hoke, and Harbaugh versus OSU.

Bobda, if it's any consolation, you have replaced me in the to five of the Pick'em Contest.:)

Terry, it's hard to say...but that 1969 team that Bo Schembechler beat in his first year would be the only rival IMO. I was a freshman at Purdue that year and went to the Shoe with the Purdue Band to watch them demolish us. Their two non-conference games were not chumps (but both were having bad years)...TCU and Washington. OSU marched through their schedule ranked #1 the whole year. Prior to the Michigan loss they scored 371 points vs. 69 for their opponents. The closest scoring margin was 27 points. They had two shutouts (Illinois and TCU). A two-loss (#12) Michigan team beat them 24-12. Michigan went on to lose the Rose Bowl to USC and Ohio State had to stay home and lick their wounds.

This to me is the best team in the country..., the most complete OSU team I have ever seen. One of the best teams period I have seen in
    CFB.
The 2006 team was supposed to be all that but I thought at the time that they gave up way too many points to Michigan in a 42-39 win to go 12-0 and solidify their no. 1 ranking. This team however does it all....including defense. I’m impressed and I would take them right now for the NC...
They will score too many points for LSU or Clemson to take them down.

Stu, when I looked at the link early this morning, Bobda was listed as #5 in the standings, but apparently Yahoo had a problem with the total points not being completed. Checking back now, I see that I did not drop out of the top five after all.

I don't know....there have been alot of great ones. I will say that this is as complete and talented a team with tons of quality depth playing at a consistently high level as any I can recall. I give an awful lot of credit for the consistent level of play and defensive turnaround to Ryan Day - 40 years old. Urban identified a young rising star, left us in a good place, recruiting hasn't missed a beat and tho time will tell, I think we're gonna OK for a while.
