At Florida.... if you are 1-5 vs. Georgia and FSU and have no championships or haven't even played for any championships your seat might getting pretty damn warm..... uncomfortably so. Jim Harbaugh is soon to most likely be 1-5 vs. MSU and Ohio State.... and will not have had Michigan playing for any championships in his three years. I just wonder how long the Wolverine faithful will give him a pass? I mean..... last I looked Florida isn't on the schedule any time soon for a measure of salvation...
Dave, Not to partake in your 'Gatoring' of every subject, but I will add that 1. Florida hasn't been in a hole as deep as Michigan was (regardless of whether or not they could still beat Florida on the regular), when Harbaught came in. 2. There are rumors that Michigan is working on a life time contract for Harbaugh. See how I did that with a little gator tease, a little gator rub, before bringing it back full circle to be on topic?
I made a pretty good comparison to what life would be like in Gainesville with a coach having a Harbaugh type performance. I think he would be feeling some heat.... just ask McElwain. Lifetime or not..... 0-2 next year vs. MSU and Ohio State and the grumbling will begin. By the way.... I have attended several UM-OSU and UM-MSU games in my years in Detroit. Michigan's rivarlries are not a foreign subject to me.
well congrats for drawing an analytical triangle around the 3 things you know. My answers still stand.
We have a "Tressel clause" in the contract if he wants to leave early. Lifetime contract means what it says...
Bobda, so Harbaugh can never leave (I assume there is some kind of large monetary penalty?) and Michigan can never fire him (I assume some kind of huge buyout?)? Contracts are never really for the term that is specified. They are really just tools to legalize who pays the buyout. :?
I guarantee you that if Harbaugh doesn't get to the business of beating OSU and MSU real soon that there are enough wealthy Michigan alumni to pay whatever to send him out of town.
Poor Sam.....who's next? <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Cm50v7vGVUY" frameborder="0"></iframe>
Welcome back Terry. I don't see Michigan winning this game and you guys have an outside shot at being in the NC Championship playoffs. Good luck. As to beating Florida, everyone is these days so no big deal.
