I used to listen to the Dixie Chicks, they were a hot band. They are of course still around, but I change stations when one of their songs comes on the air and would never buy another CD or go to a concert where they performed. It's my right. I used to like Neil Young. That song is a pile of crap, but it's his right. Just as it's my right to consider him from here on forward just like I do the Dixie Chicks. Terry
I'm with Barbra Streisand similar to how BDR is with Neil Young. First, let me say that I never was a Dixie Chicks or Neil Young fan, so those are non-events for me. Barbra....that's another story. When she ventures outside the sound booth or stage, she turns into a screaming idiot. When she talks about any subject other than People she turns my stomach. When I listen to her singing, which I do, I believe she is one of the the greatest female vocalists of my lifetime, right behind Aretha. Her singing is relevant. Her opinions are not. So far she has not blended her singing with her opinions. She has kept them separated. If she went to the trouble of writing and releasing a song similar to Neil Young's, I might feel different. But that hasn't happened.......yet.
