Agh and the merry go round continues. The media has to love this type of situation.

I am sure all Gator fans are relieved and Kentucky fans are shocked!

Well Huggins did take the WVU job. I'm really shocked, the KState AD really stuck out his neck to hire Huggins and they had a good year with things looking up...then Huggins screws him over.

    Huggins to WVU

Huggins would have loved the Ohio State Job, but he scared everyone to death. (Eldon Miller Era)

    Terry,

No... BCG has NOT signed his contract extension yet, and believe me a LOT of folks are aware.

I personally don't think it will get down to him. Sounds like Rick Barnes is at the head of the line right now.

Hmmm... With Huggins leaving KSU, and if Barnes were to leave...
Seems like Billy could have a really nice deal going in the XII. 8)

    Scott,

Do you think Barnes will leave Texas?

Kentucky has asked for, and been granted permission to speak to Billy G.

I take the fact that it was released tonight as a sign that I'll be in the market for a new coach soon.

    I gotta say I'm crushed.
We finally caught lighting in a bottle, only to have it slip away.

While a lot of my UT buds are reveling in this turn of events. I'll be sad to see him go to Kentucky. I enjoy the A&M/UT rivalry much more when A&M is strong and so is UT.

I hope he stays at A&M.

He's gone, and has created a lot of bitterness in the Aggie community with how he is going out.

No one begrudges him wanting what is one of the great BB jobs in the country, but it's how he has said he was happy, how he told the recruits he was staying, and of course that $25 million facility that is set to break ground right now.

I'm trying my best not to be that way, but it's tough after we pretty much did EVERYTHING he wanted, only to see him bolt the NIGHT UK calls...

Well if he's gone he's gone. It's too bad. But you should be able to get a very good replacement with the talent on hand and what he showed is the potential for the program. Not to mention the availablity of top notch facilities.

Wow... I haven't seen the transcript yet, but a lot of Aggies are HOT at how he ripped us.
I have no problem with him complementing UK on how great it will be, but there's no reason to kick the folks you just left as if they were yesterday's garbage.
I hope he got everything he wanted out of his place in College Station... he certainly won't be welcomed if seen in town ever again.

    Scott,
Your football coach can give him some pointers about packing. Did he at least address his players before leaving? The football coach can't give him any pointers on that.

I knew you'd have some special insight into this situation kp. 8)

From what I've read, he text messaged the players this morning, and did try to call some of them.

Unforunately, I won't get the satisfaction of watching UK struggle... I'm sure he'll win there.

Listened to the publisher of Maroon and White Illustrated. He said Alvin Brooks and Ronnie Arrow are names that have come up and he said the there will be a couple of surprise names. By surprise he said coaches that people didn't think would consider A&M.
