My 'plan' was to take my son on a mini-vacation with me and head on up to meet everyone. I've kept this on the very low, low downlow so nothing could come up to torpedo it... But the combination of Bliss' show having to cut back (ergo she lost her job as the producer of the show) and some other custody related issues, my plan was foiled. A lot of weird stuff happened this summer so I can't go all too into it.. But I tried. You guys have a great time.
Wish you could be there, Corey, but I understand that sometimes things just don't work out. We'll miss you.
I was hoping to meet you and your son Corey. Hopefully another time and good luck with the other issues you are dealing with.
Think you might make it to San Antonio Corey? Sorry you can't make it to KC. Tickets won't be a problem.
Speaking of tickets, Nevada returned some of their allotment. Bought a couple of tickets to the opening ND game yesterday.
Washington has also returned some of their tickets. Demand for tickets has been down this year, the amount of money they had to refund is the lowest in years. If we didn't have USC at home it would be even worse. If we get off to a great start things will be just fine, but if not the crowd may look a little thin for some of those exciting late season games. Of course the way seats are striped in ND stadium you could have 10K fewer fans and nobody would notice, everybody would just have a more comfortable seat! I did mention this to Whobethis (aka Gerry) and he said not to worry locals (those within 250 miles) will snap up the tickets.
Didn't even know Corey was attempting to go. Now that is known, I wish that he could. It is amazing how people that have met face to face tend to argue less from the keyboard. Corey and I used to have some knock down fights on the Prodigy boards until we went out to meet Jim and Diane and Corey dropped by. We had a good face to face meeting and the fights stopped. We even got to the point that Cindy and I changed our route on one trip to be able to stop by to see him and Des in Florence. You won't see any more "fights" between Corey and I. You may see harsh disagreements... but friends don't fight!
Tom, Absolutely. Sid/Bill, the feeling is mutual. For 'personal reasons' I had to keep this on the down low and had quietly been talking with AJ behind the scenes (Marines keep great secrets). I was concerned initially because this was my birthday weekend and feared something might come up to torpedo it. That's sort of what happened here. The death blow was Bliss losing her job. At this time, it would be financial suicide to even attempt it. What's really kicking us in the tail is that she went to file an unemployment compensation claim and the state had ZERO record of her working for the company (one she had been with for almost 7 years). So that needs to get worked out and we need to find another gig for her in the TV/film/radio field ASAP. I'll find a way to make it happen next time. Terry, Im very much planning on it.
How about this one folks!! Looks pretty cool to me. Has good reviews, decent prices and has a golf simulator!! 810 ZONE
Hey Corey, We could probably start a "send Corey to camp" fund. I would throw in a Ben Franklin to get the ball rolling.
Corey, would be good to see you again but hope that your more important things work out. Cindy...hope things go well for your sister.
STU, I did see that! OK, so far here's our choices: (1) 810 zone (2) O'Quigley's (3) Minsky's (4) O'Dowds I 2nd Doc's motion for 810 Zone. It has the best write ups and it's been labled as a # 1 sports bar on sevral websites. Plus there's the Golf simulator....
I'm in on the Corey to Camp. Plaza location is closest to Terry and I...plus it has the golf simulator.
